DO NOT. I repeat. DO NOT EVER get comfortable at any job. If you are not getting raises, if you are not moving up, apply to other jobs. Look out for yourself, do better for yourself. Especially if you’re a good worker.

"I'll be happier when I [fill in the blank]" There's always something we will be worried about but as soon as it's resolved, something else to worry about will probably come up. Thus, it's so important to take a break from thinking about the future and focus on the now.

Surround yourself with individuals with similar goals and aspirations as you. Energy is infectious.
I do not believe 9-5s are for everyone. I also do not believe entrepreneurship is for everyone. What I do believe in is people choosing something that works for them and makes them happy.

Consistency is the success factor for many things in life.

I'm a firm believer in education. I attended college and graduate school. I watch YouTube videos on topics I'm unfamiliar with. I read books to expand my knowledge of my interests. I buy courses that expand on concepts I already know about. Education comes in so many forms.

Watching shows all day, everyday after work is easy Skipping the gym & eating comfort foods is easy Not working on your business & partying is easy Spending all your money at the mall is easy Gossiping about politics, sports and your old friends is easy Easy doesn’t pay well

In 2020, U.S. banks charged $12.4 billion in overdraft fees. There are alternatives, many online FDIC-insured banks do not charge overdraft fees AND have higher interest rates than traditional banks.

A 9-5 is how like 90% of people build wealth yet people bash it 🤔

The baby steps to adulting include getting your first apartment, to having the mattress on the floor to buying a bed frame, to buying your own plates and glasses... Let’s appreciate the little things that make us feel like we are one step closer to our dreams.

I don’t think anyone is shallow for wanting to date financially stable people. It’s a wise decision. You can’t guilt trip someone into dating you. Stop that shit.

There's only so much you can learn online and by watching people do what you want to do. Eventually, you need to do it in real life and gain experience by actually doing what you want to do.
Things you can negotiate for within a job offer besides a higher salary: - Remote or Telework - Flexible Work Schedule (4/10 or 9/80) - Relocation - More Paid Time Off (PTO) - Your Title - Commuter Reimbursement - Tuition / Education Reimbursement

It’s sad I didn’t learn this until I was well grown because like most of us I was conditioned to accept whatever I was offered. It wasn’t until I started asking for $10k over the national average and getting hired that I shifted my mindset
Negotiating your salary has to be normalized. Employers will take advantage of you if you just accept whatever pay they give you.

If you are new to personal finance, focus on one thing at a time rather than everything at once. Learn what budgeting is and figure out what works for you. THEN learn about emergency funds and debt repayment. It's better to do one thing well than ten things poorly.

Personal finance is like exercising. You need to do it regularly and consistently to see results.

I’m a firm believer in everything happens for a reason. What I wanted was not my calling and opportunity because if I did not go down the path that I did, I might not be where I an today.
