🇫🇮, as APCG Chair, highlighted the @OSCE’s unique role through its conflict-cycle toolbox. However, tools alone are not enough without political will and trust among states. Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine is a stark reminder that no region can prevent conflicts alone.
The @OSCE Security Committee and the Asian Partners for Co-operation Group held their first joint meeting on ”Conflict Prevention and Preventive Diplomacy: A Comparative Regional Dialogue”, co-chaired by 🇬🇧 and 🇫🇮 and co-organized with 🇦🇺.

During the nine working days of #WHDC2026, 🇫🇮 highlighted the importance of democratic institutions, the rule of law and gender equality, and supported side events on transnational repression, human rights in Russia, political prisoners in Russia, among others.

WHDC's second week is in full swing. 🇫🇮 Human Rights Amb. and @MediaFreedomC co-chair Katja Pehrman moderated a side event on Reporting in Wartime. The panel discussed Russia's systematic attacks on journalists and challenges related to their safety and accountability efforts.

We thank the @OSCE Chair for conducting the concluding meeting of the Economic and Environmental Forum in 🇨🇿 last week. The forum highlighted the role of anticipating technologies, science-based diplomacy and resilience in strengthening security and stability across the OSCE area
