Great to see @DrSusanHFox presented on weight, PD related cachexia, osteoporosis in PwP See cambridge.org/core/journals/… A big reason nutrition issues are not being addressed is because dietitians are not core part or MDT pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3832… @FionaLithander @DrISubramanian
Susan Fox @DrSusanHFox says we need to pay attention to 'the thin Parkinson's person.' We need to recognize thinness and weight loss is common and we need to address at every visit. Stay ahead of the curve and be proactive. How about the 'increased risk of osteoporosis (OR 2.61) and increased risk of fractures (OR 2.28) in Parkinson's? Let's follow Dr. Fox and be proactive and preventative.

This is such an important article. Highlighting women and young onset #Parkinson's; "understanding all the intricate interlocking components of the puzzle and combined with greater awareness could lead to earlier diagnosis and the delivery of successful person-centred care".
