We have completed our first design review for our part in NASA's MoonFall mission!
For this mission, we'll use our Elytra spacecraft to deploy JPL-built drones above the Moon's south pole.
Completing the preliminary design review is a testament to the hard work, ingenuity, and collaboration across our joint teams in just a matter of months.
Next step: Critical design review!

Every touchdown on the Moon or the football field takes a mission-focused team working together to make the extraordinary happen.
Peep our Elytra orbiter being assembled in the cleanroom 👀.
This spacecraft is part of our Riders 2 the Dark mission — America's first mission to land on the Moon's far side.
Without direct line-of-sight to Earth, communication on the far side is impossible without a relay. That's where our Elytra orbiter comes in 🛰️. Elytra will serve as a transfer vehicle and communications bridge between Blue Ghost and Earth, enabling critical science operations on the lunar surface and setting the stage for future missions.
Modernizing defense technologies that keep our homeland safe.
Firefly’s SciTec expanded our contract with the @usairforce to add counter UAS data to the Advanced Battle Management System. These enhancements enable warfighters to improve detection, tracking, and characterization of unmanned aerial threats.

New customer alert 🚨
Starcloud's AI-computing payload will fly onboard our Elytra spacecraft as part of our third mission to the Moon. The payload will process data from our Solux vision system and validate capabilities for a future data center in lunar orbit.
This collaboration will lay the groundwork for the computing infrastructure required for a permanent presence on the Moon.

Say hello to RTx 👋🏼
RTx is a ground-penetrating radar transmitter on the @MBRSpaceCentre's Rashid Rover 2.
Flying aboard our Riders 2 the Dark mission, RTx will transmit signals that can probe up to 100 meters below the Moon’s surface.
These signals will be received by @NASA's LuSEE-Night instrument on our Blue Ghost lander, helping scientists better understand the history and presence of minerals on the Moon.
RTx is a collaboration between Brookhaven National Laboratory, Heliospace Corp. and Southwest Research Institute.
New spacecraft cleanroom complete!
Today we were joined by NASA Moon Base leadership, the Texas Space Commission, and federal and state government representatives, to celebrate this milestone.
Funded by a Texas Space Commission grant, this facility is four times larger than our existing cleanroom, allowing us to ramp up production of our lunar landers and orbital spacecraft to support our growing mission manifest.
Thank you to our partners for your support and continued investment in Texas' space future.

Production is ramping up!
From our engines to our composite structures, avionics, batteries, and harnesses, our teams are building faster and smarter.
We’ve optimized assembly lines, expanded production space, upgraded manufacturing capabilities, and increased throughput across our spacecraft and launch product lines.
Built reliably. Built for space.
Twenty-five years later, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the extraordinary courage of the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who rushed to help in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
Their heroism continues to inspire us.
Never forget.
From Sweden to orbit.
SSC Space signed on for two Alpha launches from Esrange Space Center in Sweden, targeted to launch in 2028.
These missions, serving Swedish national defense and commercial customers, are part of a long-term, multi-launch partnership with @SSCspace, delivering regular orbital launch capabilities directly from mainland Europe.

With the release of To the Black, a documentary that chronicles Firefly's early years, we're reminded of where our journey began—and even more importantly, how far we've come.
Since then, Firefly has entered a new era of leadership and growth, with multiple launches, the first successful commercial Moon landing, an IPO, and an expanded portfolio that includes AI software capabilities.
Our story is just getting started. With an unwavering focus on enhancing reliability, increasing production, and delivering on a growing mission manifest, the most exciting chapters are still to come.

Surviving the lunar night.
Firefly is onboarding @zeno_power on an upcoming Blue Ghost mission to tackle one of the biggest challenges on the Moon: operating through the extreme cold and prolonged darkness of the lunar night.
Hosted on our Blue Ghost lander, Zeno’s payload will demonstrate radioisotope and nuclear-powered technologies to extend operations beyond sunset when temperatures can fall below -280°F.

Space is getting crowded and we’re doing something about it.🛰️
We secured a new contract with @DIU_x and @SemperCitiusSDA to design a mission providing deorbit services with our Elytra spacecraft.
Our proprietary system is equipped to deorbit end-of-life satellites of vastly different sizes to help mitigate the growing space debris challenge our industry is up against.
