One of the most common excuses for the poor state of our rivers is that the @environmentagency don’t have the budget.
There is a willing army of people chomping at the bit to help them clean our rivers if only they would ask.
Over the past few years, we have tended to plaster over the cracks that have appeared on our rivers by re-stocking. This is always a last resort and it can have detrimental effects on the water it is practised on.
