Yesterday, I welcomed EU Special Representative Peter Sørensen for our first meeting following Kosova’s December elections.
Kosova remains committed to full normalization and constructive dialogue in Brussels. Meaningful progress requires good faith, including the withdrawal of the letter submitted by former Serbian Prime Minister Brnabic to the EEAS and the surrender of Milan Radoicic and his group to face justice in Kosova for the Banjska paramilitary and terrorist attack, as well as the signing of the Brussels Basic Agreement and the Ohër/Ohrid Implementation Annex as legal guarantees for the path ahead.
Kosova has a refreshed democratic mandate which ensures credible representation in the dialogue.

In this year’s @Gallup Life Evaluation Index, Kosova stands out as the country with the most significant increase in reported well-being. In 2014, only 11% of the population reported that they were thriving; by last year, that figure had risen to 51%, representing more than half of the population. As a government, we are proud to have fostered an environment conducive to the prosperity of all citizens.

From internet cafés in the early 2000s to competing at the highest levels today, our Esports community has come a long way.
Next week, we mark another milestone: 36 teams from 25 European countries will gather in Prishtina for the European Esports Championship, Kosova 2025.
Congratulations to @FESKEsports and the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports for making this possible. And to all the gamers: Best of luck and welcome to Kosova!

Hoping the people of #Kosovo reject the scaremongering on Sunday and don't send the country back to the bad old days.

Following last Friday’s terrorist attack, our police have confiscated a large cache of weapons and other materials of concern, including 74 military patches. Among the patches, 20 with Russian insignia, as pictured, were identified. The peace and stability of the Balkans requires a unified response to persistent acts aiming to destabilize the region and undermine the collective security.

In Sarajevo, I was also welcomed by the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Hercegovina, Nermin Niksic (@NiksicN). Our discussion focused on economic trade and business cooperation between our two countries, among other issues.

Today, I also met with the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, @RefikLendo. We discussed the agreements and progress of the Berlin Process, including the free movement of persons, as well as institutional cooperation to achieve shared goals, such as NATO membership. We also spoke about opportunities for collaboration in other areas, including culture and education.

Following the terrorist attack on Friday evening, among the seized arms and explosives, military insignia pictured were also found. The vast majority of these belonged to Serbian and Russian Armed Forces, such as the Russian Airborne Forces (VDV). The links of the arrested individuals to the Belgrade-sponsored terrorist organization "Civil Protection" indicate the presence of foreign actors.
Of course, terrorist events do not happen in a vacuum. In this context, Serbia's paramilitary incursion last year and its constant sponsoring of crime through various methods in the north of Kosova leave little room for speculation. However, the investigation is ongoing, and further details — along with the number of foreign parties involved — will be revealed.

My address on the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans, Energy and Connectivity in today's second session of the Berlin Process Summit:
1.We are stepping into a critical and unpredictable new phase of the climate crisis globally. This year alone, Kosova marked the hottest summer recorded with an increase in droughts and shortage in freshwater supply. We are committed to policies that ensure a just transition to a sustainable future.
2. Our comprehensive energy strategy underscores our goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050. This commitment is supported by our new laws on Climate Change and Renewable Energy Sources, which provide foundation for a long-term climate policy. Last year, we launched a 950 MW renewable energy investment pipeline, including competitive projects for generation and storage capacities. Upcoming projects, such as a 150 MW wind farm and a 100 MW solar park, highlight our efforts to diversify our energy sources and reduce emissions.
3. While having the fifth-largest lignite reserve in the world, we have set clear targets to reduce our nation-wide greenhouse gas emissions by 36% by 2030 and keep reserves underground. We remain committed to green transitioning, even though we are not a party to the Paris Agreement. Climate change is already impacting us, and the need for support is urgent. According to the World Bank, our climate resilience efforts will require €2.8 billion in investments, primarily for adaptation infrastructure to mitigate risks such as flooding, droughts, and water scarcity. Last year alone, climate-related damages amounted to €28.9 million, affecting 21 and a half thousand people.
4. Despite our efforts, we are still excluded from key multilateral climate finance mechanisms. We remain dedicated to our mitigation goals, but we need access to global climate finance to support our transition.
5. Substantial investments are needed for energy transition, waste management and decarbonizing transport, which will require an estimated €6 billion.
6. Digitalization is an enabler of green transition and we are the fastest digitalizing country in our region. Over 70% of tech sector companies export their services abroad and we have 100% connection to broadband Internet.
7. 25 years after NATO's intervention, Serbia’s airspace remains closed for commercial flights to and from Kosova. This is neither good for neighborly relations nor for climate adaptation.
Our commitment to sustainable growth and climate resilience is clear. However, access to climate finance is crucial to achieving these ambitious goals. Green Agenda for the Western Balkans should help us towards a just transition.

Serbia is demanding that Kosovo surrender its sovereignty and return to the “status quo ante.”
There will be no such return. Kosovo is an independent country and will remain so in perpetuity, aided by its greatest friend: the United States of America.
History is on the side of Kosovo’s independence. Aleksander Vucic is on history’s wrong side.
