More great news for business from northern Arizona... @juliepastrick
This weekend, we were proud to celebrate the ribbon cutting of @NAU's new MPaCT Lab. This facility will provide students, researchers, partners, & gov agencies access to the technologies powering the future of microelectronics, semiconductors, materials science, & biotechnology.

A great friend to northern Arizona restaurants and grocery stores is Shamrock Foods. Congrats indeed. Well earned.
Founded in Tucson in 1922 with only a few cows, a truck & a dream to one of the West’s largest food companies: that’s an Arizona manufacturing story to be proud of. Congratulations to Shamrock Foods Company, our 2026 Large Manufacturer of the Year! 🏆 #AZMOY2026

Always great to visit with our Congressman @RepEliCrane who sat with local business leaders in Flagstaff today and listened to the harsh realities of overly burdensome government policies and regulations. God speed, Congressman, and thank you.

It's great when the Arizona Chamber has a "Better In Our Backyard" campaign, and then comes to our Backyard to advocate for it! Welcome to Town, Danny and Crew.
Landing major investment is only part of the equation. States also have to make sure those projects can get built and that communities see the value in saying yes to growth. Great to have @OhioChamber President & CEO @stevestivers with us as our #AZSPS26 keynote speaker for a conversation with @dbseiden about growth, infrastructure, workforce and what both states are seeing on the ground.

We agree. This MOC has been working diligently to fast-track rebuilding the North Rim Lodge and GCNP North Rim outbuildings destroyed by last summer's horrific wildfires, and we are forever grateful.
Rural Arizona matters. 💪 #AZ02

Thank you @RepEliCrane - By March 2, 2023 more than 140 inches of snow had visited our town that winter. Snow removal at Flagstaff Pulliam Airport is integral to supporting daily commercial flights, which keep our economy rolling in winter months. We appreciate the lift, as always.
ICYMI – @USDOT, through @FAANews, awarded nearly $4 million for Flagstaff Pulliam Airport. I was proud to support the application for this important infrastructure funding. Great news for Northern Arizona as we head toward the winter season:

Arizona's affordability crisis is a housing supply problem. After the Great Recession, home construction slowed dramatically, leaving the state with too few homes to meet growing demand. While short-term rentals receive much of the attention, they make up only a small share of Arizona's housing market. Unbelievable, really... Build, Baby, Build!
CSI's latest housing report estimates that Arizona faced an immediate housing shortfall of 55,992 units in 2025 — and, at today’s permitting pace, it could take more than 119 years to close the gap. At the same time, residential permitting fell 14% in 2025, marking the slowest pace of home permitting since 2019. Learn more in CSI's full report: bit.ly/4tkVLj5

Permitting reform at all levels is a must, and its bipartisan because everyone knows permitting delays cost money and time, and money and have done nothing but drive costs unnecessarily through the roof, and did we mention delays cost money... Do. It. Now.
Our outdated permitting system impacts small businesses trying to open, hire, and invest in their communities. Congress should advance bipartisan permitting reform that improves predictability, efficiency, and certainty. Hear firsthand from our Small Business Council member, Brooks Kirchheimer in his op-ed for @UtahBusiness where he recounts his experience opening a new location of the restaurant he co-owns, Hill Top Hospitality. Manufacturers agree with @SecretaryBurgum — 2026 must be the year of permitting reform. By passing comprehensive, bipartisan permitting legislation, we can accelerate manufacturing growth in the U.S. @interiorpress47

Arizona ranked 33rd in affordability before the pandemic. Today it ranks 45th. From housing to groceries and child care, the cost of everyday essentials has climbed sharply since 2019, and Arizona families are feeling it across the board.
