Unstable approach at 1,000 AGL always calls for an immediate go-around. Pan Am led the way in training to avoid crashes just like this after hard lessons learned in the 1970s. Poorly trained and sloppy always leads to disaster. The lessons must be learned. Lives are at stake.

Not to mention at 1000 feet agl and you’re unstable on the approach. That calls for an immediate go-around. Sloppy and poorly trained. Always the recipe for disaster.
