So very sad to see this news. I watched Ron Duguay so many times as a Ranger at the Spectrum growing up. After @bernieparent stopped him on a breakaway at the 2012 Flyers vs Rangers Alumni game Ron jumped on our broadcast. He was all class. Ron battled Colorectal Cancer like a warrior. 🙏RIP🙏. May you be at peace and hear the whistles of the crowd. #PuckCancer
It’s with a shattered heart, but also deep peace knowing Ron is with Jesus now. He fought so hard. Love never ends❤️ @RonDuguay10

Gone far too soon. Fought the good fight! Puck cancer 🖕🏻 RIP Ronny 🙏🏻
Today, the NHL Alumni family mourns the loss of Ron Duguay, a cherished member of our hockey family whose legacy reaches far beyond the game he loved so dearly. Ron lived life with an extraordinary passion, an infectious smile, and a heart that was truly larger than life. Above all else, his deepest and most sincere love was for his family. They were his greatest pride, his greatest joy, and always closest to his heart. His dedication and passion for the game of hockey were unwavering. Hockey was more than a sport to Ron; it was a part of who he was, a lifelong love that he carried with pride and shared so generously with others. But perhaps what made Ron most special was his humanity. His genuine compassion, kindness, and willingness to help others always extended far beyond himself. He cared deeply, gave generously of his heart, and had a remarkable way of making everyone around him feel valued and appreciated. Ron greeted each day with the biggest smile, an incredible zest for life, and a positive outlook that shone through everything he saw, everything he did, and every life he touched. He will be remembered not only for the player he was, but for the extraordinary person he was. His warmth, his laughter, his kindness, and his beautiful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, teammates, and the entire NHL Alumni community. Our deepest love and heartfelt condolences go out to Ron’s family and all those fortunate enough to have known and loved him. Rest in peace, Ron. Your smile, your heart, and your love for life will never be forgotten. ❤️🏒 Forever a part of our NHL Alumni family.

All the best, Jolly!
I am out of the hospital, and thank everyone who messaged me. I read all of them, especially the ones disagreeing with me. I am hurting now worse that I ever imagined, but I can say things like this. LeBron will be the last player introduced this evening.

RIP Ron Duguay who fought a brave battle with colon cancer. Condolences to his family, friends, colleagues.
The New York Rangers organization mourns the loss of Ron Duguay, one of the most popular players in franchise history. Ron's signature skating style - with his hair flowing as he moved down the ice - captivated The Garden Faithful, and his skill, tenacity, and charisma earned him the admiration of all New Yorkers. We join the hockey community in sending our condolences to Ron's friends, family, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Today in Flyers History: October 22, 1969 Rookie Bobby Clarke sets up old Flin Flon Bombers teammate Lew Morrison for a third period goal in a 4-3 upset road win in Toronto. It's the first of Clarke's 1,210 career regular season points for the Flyers.

We've had brothers and cousins play for the Flyers before. We've had uncles (the Hillmans) and a nephew (Brian Savage). Even had a father (Bill Dineen) coach his son (Kevin). But tonight was a first: father (Mike Knuble) and son (Cole) play for the team.

Closest before that was Darryl Sittler and son Ryan (1992 first round Draft pick). Ryan played for Hershey when they were a Flyers farm team. Also Brett Hextall, Ron's son, played for the Phantoms.

Just chatting with my old buddy Mike Knuble. He and his wife are here in Philly for Coles debut tonight. Found out yesterday he got the call and had time to make it in from Michigan! Congrats to the entire Knuble family!

Jason’s dad would be over the moon happy about this. He, too, had cancer and lost his battle only 2 months after diagnosis. He’s the reason why Jason loves this sport so much.
This season, the Flyers players are presenting boxing gloves to the player of the game after a win (took til last night for us to finally win one). It's in honor of the Rocky 50th anniversary. Last night, my colleague and friend, @jasonmyrt was given the first honors. Toughest fighter you'll ever see. @AngelaMyrt

"I believe in strength in numbers." Flyers radio announcer @jasonmyrt is in a battle with cancer and spoke to the team at morning skate, preaching how he will never quit and encouraged the team to find a level of fight they didn't know they had. The Flyers have won their first game of the season after hearing Jason's story.

What a day/night. I don’t even know what to say, which is very rare for me. But I do want to make one thing clear. That win was not for me. It’s not about me. That win was for every fan. I could see the start of the season was hurting a lot of fans. I am proud of the way the boys came together in that game. They had to deal with some adversity with the Sens scoring first, having to kill a late penalty and didn’t buckle. Now it is onto the next one knowing the only way is to do it is together. Everyone with the same level of of fight and doing their job. Tonight feels good and the fans and players deserve it. Especially when a result like that win is earned through an honest effort with pride. @NHLFlyers #LetsGoFlyers
