Trump loves the military so much that he shut down a VA mortgage rescue program, forcing 10,000 veterans into foreclosure and putting 90,000 more at risk.

It’s illegal to intimidate, threaten, or coerce election workers. Last night, a federal court issued a temporary restraining order barring DOJ and DHS from doing just that.
Bottom line: your path to election day is *still clear.*

The Iowa Farmers Union isn’t alone. Across the country, organizations with long histories of staying out of electoral politics are breaking their own rules and stepping into this election.
A 110-year-old academic organization has made its first-ever political endorsements. Newspapers are reversing longstanding policies against candidate endorsements. Agricultural and business organizations are making choices they haven’t made in years.
And their endorsements say one thing …

On a recent podcast episode Michigan Attorney General @dananessel , who is Jewish, makes it clear that her values leave no room for voting for Mike Rogers. She'll be voting for @AbdulElSayed .
And she has a pointed message for Democrats considering Rogers: Take a hard look at his record and ask yourself whether it reflects the values you've spent your life fighting for.
From LGBTQ+ and reproductive rights to healthcare, Social Security, voting rights, and gun safety, Nessel argues that this election is about far more than personal feelings toward a candidate.
For Nessel, the choice is clear, it’s Abdul El-Sayed, and she's not mincing words. Please listen in 👇

Ken Paxton’s own lawyer endorses James Talarico:
“I defended Ken Paxton for years in the impeachment trial and in state criminal cases. But in my view, I think Ken has lost sight of his core mission, which is to represent the people of Texas.
And unlike Ken, I believe that you, James, believe in unity over division and that you know how to assemble not only Democrats but Independents and Republicans and we need that right now.
We need unity, we don't need any more division and that's why I'm supporting you.”

In 1962, my grandad Birch ran for office, but there was one problem - nobody knew how to pronounce our name. So his campaign came up with a jingle to help voters remember it.
As we approach Election Day, I wanted to bring that tune back and put my own spin on it.
My grandad’s example inspired me to believe in the power of public service to make a real difference in people’s lives. He helped pass the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act, authored the constitutional amendment lowering the voting age to 18 so that the young Americans fighting and dying in Vietnam would have a voice in choosing their leaders, and championed Title IX, opening doors for generations of women in college athletics.
I’m proud to carry on that tradition of service in my own way.

I'm going to predict something, but it needs a set-up:
Malignant narcissists always challenge reality when it's not what they want reality to be. As they suffer repeated narcissistic injury and mini-humiliations and begin to recognize the likelihood of more such injury being in the cards, they begin to visualize their own demise (narcissistic mortification) and this is irreconcilable to them. They HAVE to blame others.
They'll show signs of paranoia, panic, and extreme vitriol. They are defending against their ultimate come-uppance, which is utter defeat and humiliation, psychologically manifest as narcissistic collapse.
During this steeper decline, they flail. As their flailing attempts to reset a narrative fails to take hold, and as they perceive they're losing, or worse - being ridiculed or scoffed at, they begin to vacillate between sanity and insanity. This is especially the case when they know THEY are responsible for THEIR OWN failing.
With a big Dem victory, we'll be there. And that's why - in the event of a Blue Tsunami, I predict we are likely to see a major diversionary event, like a large escalation in Iran, just after the election.
Please know that regardless of how they spin it, it's not a move borne of policy. It's a move to nourish a famished narcissist so he can better ward off collapse.

It doesn’t get much more corrupt and stupid than this.
Oil billionaire Jeffery Hildebrand owns one of the largest methane-polluting oil and gas companies in America. He and his wife gave more than $15 MILLION to Trump and Republicans.
Trump then nominated his wife to be an ambassador and installed a former lobbyist for Hildebrand’s company in charge of rewriting methane regulations at the EPA.
Now they’re getting rid of the program requiring oil and gas companies to investigate and fix some of their worst methane leaks.
Beyond the insane corruption, it’s just STUPID beyond belief.
If an oil company is leaking natural gas into the atmosphere, wasting energy and accelerating climate change, FIX THE DAMN LEAK.
Why on earth would we make it easier for companies to waste perfectly usable energy while Americans are struggling to pay their energy bills?
The only ones that stand to benefit are the companies operating old, leak-prone wells like Hilcorp. Those wells only produce 6% of our oil and gas but they release HALF of the industry's methane emissions.
So let me get this straight.
Your energy bills are through the roof. This won't meaningfully bring them down. We’re making it easier for oil companies to waste energy and pump more pollution into our atmosphere.
And one of the biggest beneficiaries is a billionaire Trump donor whose former lobbyist helped write the rollback in the first place.
I mean, COME ON.

Economist (and Nobel laureate) Paul Krugman: “Control of Starlink must, one way or another, be taken away from Elon Musk. Judge Ana Reyes has officially run out of fucks to give when it comes to the Trump administration’s word games. And she let them have it.
When DOJ’s No. 3 official tried to argue over what Trump meant when he publicly announced the golf course would close November 15, Reyes wasn’t having it. Woodward told her he couldn’t say that Trump meant the course would close on Nov. 15, and even tried to claim the post said “should” be closed. Reyes pointed out it said “will be.”
“We played games on October 19th with words, and we’re not doing it today.”
When the lawyer tried to claim executive privilege over Trump’s PUBLIC social media posts?
“That’s quite an extraordinary view of executive privilege.”
She even pulled out a dictionary to explain the meaning of “involved” when officials couldn’t answer whether Interior Secretary Doug Burgum was involved in the project. When the official then said Burgum was only “aware” of the project, Reyes noted he had toured the course and asked, “He doesn’t have a body double, does he?” And when the administration’s explanations kept changing? She reminded them of their duty of candor to the court. When Woodward revealed that a submission to the National Capital Planning Commission on the course design had been in the works for weeks without DOJ telling her, she said, “Are you kidding me right now? Seriously, Mr. Woodward, come on.”
Now she’s appointing a special master to investigate whether Trump administration officials misled the court. The investigation begins in days. “For months the court has trusted but not verified,” Reyes said. “No longer.”
This isn’t just about a golf course anymore. It’s about whether the executive branch thinks it can mislead a federal court, change its story, and hide behind word games when a judge demands answers.
Remember how we got here. The administration cut down more than 400 trees at the course in a single weekend, after Reyes had ordered them to give notice before removing more than 10. Trump called her a “crazed lunatic” on Truth Social. DOJ’s Woodward filed to have her removed from the case, and she denied it. She told the courtroom that “a federal judge is getting death threats over a golf course.” And the DOJ let slip in court that a new seawall at the park would cost between $150 million and $400 million in taxpayer money.
Judge Reyes has taken the DOJ to the “Finding Out” phase. And she’s bringing both barrels.
