Hey @SkyNews 👋
Arab Israeli here. Allow me to set the record straight: there are no “Palestinian citizens of Israel” and your attempt to erase our identity and belonging in this country is racist, inaccurate and offensive. Can you imagine saying “the Mexican citizens of the United States” simply because one is Latino?
Less than 15% of Arab Israelis identify as Palestinian (and most polls have it closer to 7%). You don’t get to decide what our identity is.
Could Palestinian voters tip Israel's election?
Sky's @adamparsons looks at whether Palestinian citizens of Israel can turn their votes into meaningful political influence in this week's election
Could Palestinian voters tip Israel's election?
I’m noticing a lot of this kind of thing. People reaching out to each other across the divide. A good sign, given the obvious attempts to use elections to attack the consensus that underlies democracies.
At the risk of stating the obvious and regardless of who I am voting for, the amount of hate between the two sides, and yes, it’s on both sides, is despicable and tragic.
I don’t even want to imagine what’ll happen after the elections and what the losing side will do.
Here’s a spoiler: Both sides, with very few exceptions, care deeply about this country.
Again, putting aside some bad apples, both sides will do what they think is best for the future of the country.
And here’s where I’ll say something controversial.
Sitting down?
Here goes.
Bibi is not the devil. 😱
Neither is Eisingot 😳
Smotrich is not evil. 🤯
Neither is Bennett. 😮
Ben Gvir is not a lunatic. 😲
Neither is Lapid. 😯
I have a fundamental problem with the Arab parties deciding who is our next PM. That part I’ll agree with.
I also have a MAJOR problem with the thought that someone who said that the IDF kills babies as a hobby will be a part of the Israeli government.
But guess what.
There are problematic people on the right side as well.
The chareidim, as a whole are not evil in any way, shape, or form.
Some of their leaders however, are causing a major Chillul Hashem, desecration of God’s name, by behaving the way they’re behaving.
And yes, Ben Gvir is definitely rough around the edges, and I’m being nice.
On both sides, the importance of communication skills, especially in English, is not getting enough attention. In my opinion, whoever is the next PM absolutely needs to speak fluent English.
Anyway, there are deep fundamental differences between the two camps and that’s ok.
What’s not ok is all the hatred. Makes me really sad and reminds me why the temple was destroyed, for baseless hatred.
The whole country is obsessed with these elections, and rightfully so, but what we also need to focus on is creating less hatred and more unity.
And yes, both sides are guilty of the division.
That’s all.
Unity is our strength as a nation. Division is our weakness.
Our enemies know that. It’s time we internalized it as well.
Tomorrow are the elections. Pray for us.
No matter what happens, everything, sooner or later, will be ok.
And by the way, if you’re reading this and anything I just said offends you, then you are part of the problem.
Put down your guns and pick up your voting ballot. 🇮🇱

The following is intended for those who want to put “די” in the ballot box but are hesitating because of the electoral threshold. (Those who have no intention of supporting us can simply skip this...)
One of the biggest (and most common) mistakes Israeli voters make is giving up on voting for the party that truly represents them in favor of a “larger party,” believing that this is a smarter (and more “strategic”) choice.
Why is this a mistake?
Voters who believe in a small party and what it has to offer, but nevertheless choose to vote for other parties they identify with less, create a self-fulfilling prophecy, especially for parties that are just above the electoral threshold.
Worse still, Israel’s political graveyard is full of large and medium-sized parties that urged voters to support them solely on the basis of the “large party” argument, only to lose the opportunity to form a government precisely because they weakened the smaller parties they needed to build a coalition.
So, to everyone who wants to vote for us with their heart, I would add that voting for us is also the rational choice. Not only are we crossing the electoral threshold in most polls, but your vote will help ensure that all the other people who currently support us also receive the political representation they want. In this sense, a marginal vote for us is a vote that is “worth more,” because it helps push the party across the electoral threshold, which translates into four seats in the Knesset.
Putting “די” in the ballot box is the most rational vote you can cast, and the highest-value vote you can give in this election.

I spoke to the Israeli Foreign Minister this evening. It's not true. No policy change.
This whole narrative is mistaken. As a general rule we are most in danger from those we know. We may not be able to follow Paris’ reasons but the risk isn’t confined to people we don’t understand.
Paris Bennett had an IQ of 141 - the mind of a genius, the actions of a monster. He was 13 years old when he stabbed his 4-year-old sister Ella 17 times while she slept. He had planned to kill his mother first. Then decided death was too quick. He wanted her to suffer for the rest of her life. So he took the one thing she loved most.
Under Texas law in 2007, a 13-year-old couldn't receive life imprisonment or the death penalty. He got the maximum possible: 40 years. In all the years since, he has never once apologized.
In the video below, Paris sits across from Piers Morgan in prison and admits everything - including that he still loves his sister in the present tense.
After it was over he called a friend and talked casually for 10 minutes about nothing in particular. Then he called emergency services, simulated panic, and pretended to perform CPR on his sister's body.
When the police officer walked into the bedroom he muttered "oh my god."
Paris heard it from the hallway. Said he felt like he was drowning in shame.
Psychologists who evaluated him found a textbook psychopath. Zero empathy. Zero remorse. In all the years since, he has never once apologized to his mother for what he did.
His mother sat beside him during the interview. Said his entire childhood revolved around him. Said he was loved by everyone. Said she still couldn't understand where the feeling of abandonment had come from.
Paris said he spent his whole childhood feeling completely alone.
A genius who calculated exactly how much pain he could cause and chose accordingly.
Is Paris Bennett a product of something that broke inside a child, or was the monster always there waiting for the right moment?

Anthropic just announced that AI designed proteins targeting scorpion venom.
The headlines sound incredible.
318,484 protein designs.
211 tested in the lab.
17 passed the binding tests.
And how many have been shown to neutralise the venom?
Zero.
Now, don’t get me wrong.
This is impressive science.
AI can generate and screen molecular designs at a scale that would have been unimaginable a few years ago.
But here’s what the hype keeps missing.
Binding to a toxin isn’t the same as neutralising it.
And neutralising a toxin isn’t the same as developing a safe, effective treatment.
Someone still has to make the molecules. Run the experiments. Measure what actually happens.
Demonstrate efficacy. Establish safety.
AI is making it easier to generate hypotheses.
But generating hypotheses was never the same as proving them.
You can accelerate the thinking.
You can’t skip the evidence.
Can’t tell if this is criticism or advertorial
A French left-wing activist mocked those whose livelihoods had been destroyed by violent rioters and looters over the past few days.
“Your little shops, that’s real cute,” said Lola-Fleur Whittaker, who defended the rioters during a French television debate.
Whittaker tried to draw sympathy, stating that her mother is an English teacher who eats cookies for lunch because she can't “pay for the cafeteria.”
However, online users quickly found Whittaker’s social media profiles, where she posts pictures of herself vacationing in places like Oman, the island of Ré, Sicily, the Greek islands, Malaysia, and Egypt.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Manchester, and she offers French lessons for €53 per 50-minute lesson on the platform Preply, where she has already taught 1,709 classes.

Your mental gymnastics are embarrassing. No one on the left is going to buy your spin, and it won’t change the outcome. He said, “Sure, absolutely.” So technically, he did condemn them. Now, of course we know he’s a big, fat liar.
But Republicans keep sending intellectually ignorant people, clearly motivated by their hatred of Muslims, to debate a professional liar and Islamist who knows exactly how to exploit their ignorance and prejudice. And predictably, they lose.
You deserve to be exposed as bigots because that’s precisely how you’re behaving.
We Muslims know how to challenge Islamists and dismantle their arguments. But you refuse to work with us because your hatred extends to Muslims themselves, not just Islamists.
And therein lies your greatest weakness.
The universe has a peculiar way of rewarding bigotry. Until you abandon your anti-Muslim agenda, you’ll continue losing the intellectual and moral battle against Islamists. You’ve alienated the very people who could help you defeat their ideology, while convincing countless others that your motives are rooted in hatred rather than principle.
You cannot credibly fight religious extremism while practicing religious bigotry.
Enjoy the fruits of your labor. 👍🏼

I’d expand this. To understand politics, start with the idea Left and Right are dog-whistles for constituencies.
I dislike the left and the right equally. Both have become cult-like movements that thrive on division, feed us fear, and distract us from their own corruption. They promise change, yet the cycle never changes.
Most people don’t even vote out of genuine support for their policies anymore. They vote out of fear of the other side, choosing the “lesser of two evils.”
The real Matrix is believing you must belong to one side to escape the other. True awakening will come when Americans begin to see through the political circus and refuse to be manipulated by either.

The lie that Jeffrey Epstein ran a sexual-blackmail operation for Israeli intelligence has convinced millions of Americans that their leaders are compromised and their wars are fought on Israel’s orders. In The Epstein Conspiracy, David Reaboi, a longtime writer on political warfare and information operations, shows that Russia very likely manufactured, laundered, and activated it as information warfare. Its real target is America’s capacity to reason about its own national interests.
