I am thrilled to announce the upcoming publication of my book, ‘TRAILBLAZERS: The Groundbreaking History of #NFFC.’ It charts the Reds’ remarkable pioneering history; their amazing ‘firsts’, the innovations they have introduced, and their many, many unique achievements.

For this issue of the away guide, I’ve been researching our record of scoring in successive away games and how it compares to our current sequence of 14 consecutive games. It’s pretty interesting if you want to take a look… (and maybe find out about Brentford away, of course!)
𝙁𝙊𝙍𝙀𝙎𝙏 𝘼𝙒𝘼𝙔 𝙂𝙐𝙄𝘿𝙀 - 𝘽𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙙 Another edition of our #NFFC away guide, with plenty of details and tips on travel, parking & pubs. Plus, how the Reds of 2026 are currently carving out a little bit of club history away from home. forzagaribaldi.com/forest-aw…

My book ‘TRAILBLAZERS’ is now available in paperback. A bit smaller, and a bit cheaper. And, if you haven’t read it yet, a fantastic story about the pioneering exploits of the mighty #NFFC. I will also be continuing to donate my personal royalties to @Forza_Garibaldi. Enjoy!

I’m more than happy to try and arrange signed copies too if you like, whether it’s for yourself or a Christmas gift. I don’t have copies myself to sell but if you purchase elsewhere we can organise something. Just drop me a DM.

A Goose Fair inspired sketch from ‘T.F’ featured in the Football Post. It depicts a Notts County figure juggling a ball on his head and a Forest character seemingly beating a drum over to the left. Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to determine the date but I would suggest 1950s.

This sketch goes all the way back to October 1903 and shows Forest and Notts chasing league points against their opponents shown here as geese. The Reds lost 2-1 at Sheffield Wednesday.

Finally - to mark the visit of Newcastle to the City Ground, the cartoon shows a worried Jolly Forester watching a a Newcastle character enjoy the fair’s helter skelter. This is from October 1924. The game ended 1-1.

5 years ago today. A 2-0 win at Huddersfield under Steven Reid, with Steve Cooper waiting in the wings. The turning point? Very possibly.

#NFFC facing tonight’s opponents Barcelona in pre-season back in 1983, and coming up against Diego Maradona…
Footage of #NFFC competing in a pre-season tournament at Barcelona in August 1983, including a superb goal from Diego Maradona. The Argentinian left the pitch with a yellow Forest shirt he had exchanged at full time. The game ended 2-0 to Barca in front of 40,000 spectators.

I’m on BBC 5 Live around half ten this morning contributing to an ongoing series on iconic football stadiums - this week’s it’s the City Ground. Mark Crossley and I are joining Colin Murray. Give it a listen, if you can. Unless you are already in the pub for pre-match by then!

This is an excellent follow up from @DavidMarples to the original collection of iconic goals from #NFFC folklore he published in 2018. Beginning in the Victorian era it is a retelling of some fascinating moments from the club’s illustrious past, and more recent years. Cont…

It’s marvellous to recount recent years via some of the most cherished moments we all witnessed unfold. Concluding in 2024/25, the only real downside is that we don’t get this season’s European campaign in the mix. But hopefully those can land in the next instalment one day.
