One of the most disturbing and under talked about stories right now in the United States is the fact that People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI), also known as Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK)
MEK is passing out money to GOP operatives and lobbyists to influence the outcome of the Iranian people led regime change in Iran.
MEK is being pushed as an alternative to the Islamic regime in Iran, when in reality they are the same thing, dressed up in colorful clothing. MEK was responsible for the death of U.S. military officers and contractors in Iran between 1973 and 1976.
MEK is a terrorist, Marxist and Islamist cult that is rejected inside Iran. It is critical to note they murdered American soldiers, celebrated the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks on New York City, and are longtime allies of the PLO Islamic terrorist organization, among having involvement in other atrocities.
Until a decade ago, MEK was designated as a terrorist group in the US and Canada. Their terror designation was removed by Hillary Clinton @HillaryClinton under the Presidency of Barack Hussein Obama @BarackObama, who enabled and funded the Iranian regime, paving the way for the disastrous Iran Nuclear Deal. On May 8, 2018, President Donald Trump announced the United States' withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), otherwise known as the Iran nuclear deal. Obama’s policies on Iran resulting in the rise of Iranian backed Islamic terror, and the death of many US soldiers.

It is an established fact, backed by documented evidence, that the MEK has a long history of terrorist activity. From its terrorist operations in the US and Europe to its expulsion from Iraq and years of operating in Albania like an organized crime network, its record is well documented.
A simple poll among Iranians would tell you just how deeply unpopular this group is. Many Iranians see the MEK and the IRGC as two sides of the same coin.
In January 2026, hundreds of thousands of Iranians took to the streets in response to Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi’s call. Even as the regime opened fire on protesters, they chanted his name, making their support for him and their choice of leadership unmistakably clear.
Now, Belgian politicians are calling for Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi’s visit to be cancelled at the urging of the MEK. By doing so, they are turning their backs on the Iranian people and disregarding their clear demand for Reza Pahlavi to lead the country's transition to democracy.
You cannot claim to stand for democracy and freedom while ignoring the will of the Iranian people. If you genuinely support their right to choose their own future, you must respect their choice of Reza Pahlavi. Democracy means listening to the people, not deciding for them.
