I feel sorry for those Republicans too young to have grown up with an actual, Republican president.

Is Trump a deranged lunatic? Of course. Is he kind of just an imbecilic buffoon who is intellectually way in over his head, but his iconic personality and cultist devotion covers a multitude of those sins for him? When somebody once said, "I'd rather be lucky than good," perhaps that applies to nobody more than Donald Trump. But to David's point, when does the speech start? No, this is the speech. Look, the truth is people don't like speeches. And so this is why this guy can attract thousands of people to his circus: because it's not a speech. If it was a speech, nobody would go. When's the last time anybody out there went to go listen to a speech? Come on, give me a break.

As we get closer to Election Day, you will be deluged by manic punditry claiming all kinds of conclusions based mostly on partisan political spin. But one of those conclusions will be bipartisan: Trump's maniacal border enforcement policies. I am not talking about on the southern side of the U.S./Mexico border, but the northern side. I am of course referring to his Gestapo. The jackbooted thugs wearing masks and randomly swarming areas throughout the land: rounding up, manhandling, and brutally, insensitively, and outrageously transporting brown-skinned human beings (an unacceptable percentage of whom happen to be American citizens) to detention centers. Now, as outrageous, grotesque, horrific, and un-American as that is (and it cannot be overstated), the reason Latino voters are abandoning Trump in numbers equal to, if not greater than, other Americans is the price of refined fuel. That is a foundational input in the cost of everything, from groceries to textiles, durable goods, electricity, you name it. Anything transported by diesel trucks is losing the battle to stave off upward pressure on prices throughout the economy. Latinos are just like other people, believe it or not. I know that might come as a shock to some of you "Christian" nationalist nutjobs, but they are. They feel Trump's spectacular economic policy dumbfuckery just as severely, if not more so, than the rest of us due to their position in the socioeconomic architecture of America. Trump is the first pretend Republican president to ever enjoy a higher percentage of Latino support (which, by the way, is almost certainly because he is a fake Republican; let's face it, he's not a Republican). Wow, did he have an opportunity to change the electoral chessboard, and he couldn't have squandered it faster, more totally, or more cataclysmically. He deserves what is coming, and so do the feckless Republicans in Congress who lacked the testosterone to do anything about it.

It wasn't Barack Obama's Oval Office, nor is it Donald Trump's Oval Office. It's the White House Oval Office, occupied by the President of the United States and owned lock, stock, and barrel by American taxpayers: Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and every other party identification you can think of. This moron Nick Adams is a fat, little pudgy beta troll.
President Trump’s Oval Office puts Barack Obama’s Oval Office to shame.

Never underestimate the stupidity of MAGA.
I’m still angry Trump was cheated out of 2020. I’m still angry Kari Lake was cheated out of Arizona. I’m still angry Spencer Pratt was cheated out of Los Angeles. Most of all, I’m angry it keeps happening and our government won’t do anything about it.

Russia has a smaller economy than California.
I have got to be honest. I dont think we are anywhere near the end of the war in Ukraine. Russia shows no signs of being willing to compromise or being reasonable or realistic. Now they apparently raise a demand that the rest of Eastern Europe have to leave NATO. And they still want to have all of Ukraine. Europe is not going to abandon hundreds of millions of people in Eastern Europe to live under Russian tyranny again. We are ten times stronger than Russia and we are not going to agree to such insane demands. Russia is on the defensive in Ukraine. Over the past six months they have lost - not gained - territory. Their oil refineries are destroyed. Their economy is being crippled and there is no victory in sight for them. Compared to Europe they have a small population and a very small and not very advanced economy. The only problem is that Russia does not understand this and continues to act like they can bully and threaten their way to dominance over a Europe that is so much stronger than them. We want peace. Of course. Since the fall of the USSR we have shown no aggression to Russia but have only wanted to live as good and peaceful neighbours. There is literally nobody in Europe that wants war with Russia. It is a mindset that does not exist. But we are not going to surrender to Russia's insane idea that their weak country has a right to rule half of Europe. As long they stick to that, there will be no settlement. So the war will probably continue for a long time which is a tragedy and a disaster.

Never underestimate the stupidity of MAGA.
President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth had the conviction to call us the Department of War and say it plainly: America’s military exists to deter war through strength and, if necessary, fight and win. The President has acted. Now Congress must finish the job and enshrine the Department of War name in law. foxnews.com/opinion/trump-re…

Replying to @davidaxelrod @POTUS
No. Let Canada come crawling back. They have aligned themselves with China. Big conservative win in Canada last week. Keep it rolling. Just force to socialist Canadians to admit they are the 52st state.

Look, maybe with a small handful of exceptions, there isn’t an impressive Republican with a national profile anywhere in the United States of America, especially among those running for reelection to either the House or the Senate. The party of Lincoln and Reagan is basically in intensive care, while the head of the party is functionally the political equivalent of Dr. Kevorkian. But here’s the point: none of that justifies casting a vote for a Democratic candidate for the Senate, the House, or governor, or, frankly, for most of the higher-level statewide offices either. Democrats are not the answer to a dysfunctional, broken Republicanism. Instead they should serve as the key motivation to reimagine a once great party that actually believes in something that’s more American than authoritarian.

It's never a good look when Republicans ridicule, minimize, or somehow call into question the legitimacy of people who have managed to acquire significant wealth, like the Obamas have. Say what you want about his politics, and I didn't vote for him (and wouldn't vote for him in the future, provided he's running against an actual Republican), but the guy is talented, and he does have a connection with people. He was a community organizer. The guy's not a fake: he's an authentic activist and ideologue, and he's good at what he does. That's why Republicans should oppose him and call him out, not because he's wealthy. I mean, let's face it: he sure as hell didn't inherit wealth.
Makes speeches for 500k a pop. Hasn’t eaten dinner that costs less than $250 in years. Has never been in a Cheesecake Factory. Undefeated at condescending to regular folks. Will always be known for a presidency that ushered in the Trump era to begin with.

His obsession with tariffs, and using them to bully our allies and irritate our adversaries, has effectively destroyed his presidency, his legacy, and quite possibly the Republican Party.
Trump had one job economically… It wasn’t that difficult. But, he blew it. And now Democrats will take over, leaving him to be the lamest lame duck president in modern history. 😡🤦‍♂️🤮

who is this schmuck?
Hard at work. I have talked to so many voters here in Ohio about the value of electing Republicans. I am not just tweeting. I am on the move in person! Ohio is unifying around patriot Vivek Ramaswamy. Amy Acton is a mess and we can't trust someone like that with control of our state! It is time to banish Amy Acton back to the pits from whence she came! Vivek 2026!!

Gee whiz! It's a shame that Newt doesn't have the ear of the president, A.K.A. Putin's best bro.
Ukrainians keep showing enormous courage in defending their country against Putin’s immoral and indeed evil efforts to conquer a neighbor. They have resisted now for four years and eight months and we should do all we can to help them.

Indeed, it makes me "sad" that a member of my party running for governor, a multi-billionaire who really doesn't even need to be doing this (his time and efforts would be better deployed elsewhere, frankly, but whatever), would run an ad featuring a monstrous woman who chose to believe her new husband over her twelve-year-old daughter as it regarded rape. The same new husband who was accused of molesting his own daughter from a prior relationship. Yes, indeed, it makes me "sad" that my party, particularly the leader of my party, has not only chosen to go along, but offered a full-throated endorsement for this spectacle. Does it make Amy Acton qualified to be governor? No, nothing would, and nothing does, frankly. She is wholly and entirely disqualified by virtue of what she believes and the policies that she supports. That is beside the point. If anybody chooses to vote for her because they are outraged by the ad (and I would hope that every single human being is), then that is only compounding the tragedy here. No, the much better choice, frankly, from a moral standpoint, a decency standpoint, and a humanity standpoint, would be to take a pass for governor of Ohio this cycle. And whoever this Joey Mannarino moron is, to the extent that he represents my party not just today, but by virtue of his age in the future, just horrifies me, frankly.
You people are ridiculous to want to elect Amy Acton over Vivek. Amy is literally a California-style liberal who will pull a Spanberger on the people of Ohio. Just because Vivek fights hard with ads that might make some people sad? You’re ridiculous if you give her power.
