Here’s some helpful context for the next time someone asks “why does it matter when there are no women on games panels/stages/broadcasts?” Almost HALF of gamers are girls/women. If these visible spaces were representative of the audience, HALF the people on stage would be women.

In 2022 I was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the @esportsawards & talked about this in my acceptance speech. We'd see more women celebrating their histories in esports if we, as an industry & community, had given them the support they deserved. youtu.be/8rYl495ikRY

I cannot overstate how my longevity in this space is ENTIRELY because I had the luck to find a network of support with my @FragDolls team & our community in those olden days. I knew they had my back then and that they still do now (even those who have long since left esports).

I can't let #WomensHistoryMonth end without shouting out myself for being a living fossil in #esports. I'm still here bc I've had the support of friends, community, & colleagues along the way, but too many women in esports over the years haven't had enough to stay. (A mini-🧵)

D’aww. It’s nice that this list includes women who were around 10+ years ago. Esports often has a bad long term memory, but some of the @JukedGG folks were around back then too and they remember there were women in esports before 2012! 🤪😘
