Everyone’s pointing at this final four as proof MLB doesn’t need a salary cap. The Rays and Guardians both rank in the bottom 10 in payroll, so one of them is guaranteed a World Series trip, and the Brewers are 19th. But from 2000 to 2025, 26 teams won the World Series, and only one, the 2003 Marlins, opened the season with a bottom 100 payroll. Of course we have the Dodgers left who rank 2nd in payroll.
This one October doesn’t erase 26 years of data. MLB’s labor deal expires Dec. 1, owners want a cap, and you’ll hear this postseason cited all winter as the reason they don’t need one. If Tampa Bay or Cleveland wins it all, that makes two bottom-10 champions in 27 seasons.
Let's be honest for a second a salary cap would even the playing field and there is a reason every major sports league has one.
Major League Baseball wants a salary cap and says it's to ensure smaller-market, lower-payroll teams can win in the postseason.
Milwaukee, Cleveland and Tampa Bay are winning without one.

Why is UCLA only at #12 you might ask?
Pre-season expectations (yes its Week 7)!
It's early - but we are seeing #criminal AP Poll logic that could creep its way into the CFP rankings
#11 Ian Blair scored the 1st Goal in Birmingham Blades history earlier this evening! 🚨
The 31 Year Old from the Great Britain National Team (50 OVR) will forever be etched in the record books with his 1st NHL(14) Goal

How has nobody at NCAA come up with the idea of being "U24" or "U25" yet?
You have 25 years of eligibility starting at birth.
Seems like a much easier way to navigate through the courts
