I keep asking myself whether Steve's return is about his combat ability, his leadership, or something connected to his history with the Avengers. Thor has plenty of powerful allies, and Steve has already earned a peaceful life after Endgame. So what could be serious enough to pull him back? If the answer is simply that the audience loves him, Marvel is missing an opportunity to give his return a genuinely compelling reason.
