Congratulations to Judge Navi Pillay on the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize. 🇵🇸🕊️
She listened to us. She recognized our struggle as Palestinian human rights defenders when much of the world chose silence.
As head of the UN Commission of Inquiry, she had the courage to name the genocide being committed against our people in Gaza. For us, this prize honors that courage and the truth she refused to soften.
From Hebron, thank you, Judge Pillay. Justice and international law must stand with the oppressed.

Thank you for helping me to be released yesterday .
@sfardm @YehudaShaul @FriendsHebron and all other amazing activists .
Palestinian activist Issa Amro was held incommunicado at a military base, blindfolded, handcuffed behind his back and 'badly treated.' Amro, founder of Hebron's Youth Against Settlements group, was released overnight.

Just heard from a trusted source that activist @Issaamro was taken away by Israeli soldiers about two hours ago, and that his whereabouts are unknown.
Six hours have passed and @IssaAmro has not been brought to a police station or given his right to call his lawyer. This is a matter for grave concern, knowing today's practices against Pal activists. We demand to know where Issa is and what are the grounds for his detention!

Today, an Israeli soldier arbitrarily closed the checkpoint, preventing Palestinians from reaching their homes. Teachers, workers, students, were all blocked from moving freely.
These restrictions are part of a system of military occupation and apartheid that makes daily life unbearable and pressures Palestinians to leave their homes for the benefit of expanding settlements.
Extremist Israeli Minister Smotrich moving to cancel Hebron Protocol account is "a reward for extremism and violence, a clear step toward annexation that takes the land while excluding the Palestinian population living on it" — human rights defender @Issaamro
Israeli settlers come to threaten to take over the house of Palestinian human rights defender @IssaAmro. These threats come after one of the same settlers was seen pelting Issa’s house with stone. Why is he now allowed to return and harass Issa? Where is the justice?
Israeli settler attacks human rights defender @Issaamro in his house in front of soldiers standing idle by. Swearing and stating that he wants to take over Issa’s house and “get him” one day.
“To live there, It’s a war crime, it’s not ‘awesome.’” @Issaamro on UK participation in promoting moves to illegal Israeli settlements.

“They were expanding a lot without any legal basis," he said. "Now they [will be] the law…It's part of Israel now without any rights for me. It's annexation of the land without me, as a Palestinian." @Issaamro @BBCWorld

“They kill us in the morning and describe us as terrorists in the evening. They steal our land and describe us as thieves…” @Issaamro on the reality of living under Israeli apartheid and occupation.

Israeli settlers attacked the house of Palestinian human rights defender @Issaamro — breaking the lock, hurling stones and damaging a CCTV camera. Soldiers were present, and instead of holding the settlers accountable, they tried to arrest Issa and confiscated his phone.
