A return to the pitch after almost 300 days for one of Australia's biggest talents ๐
Fantastic to see former Australia U20 international and 2025 AFC Youth Player of the Year Alex Badolato return to the pitch from a very lengthy spell on the sidelines due to an ACL injury ๐ข๐ก
The 21-year-old midfielder had been ruled out for 296 days and over the weekend, he played the final 13 minutes for the Jets in their home draw against Macarthur. A reminder that just last year Alex Badolato was an integral player for Australia's U20's team in the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup which saw Australia win the tournament and Badolato himself take out the Player of the Tournament award.
Badolato could get some more minutes tomorrow night as the Jets travel to Japan for Asian Champions League Elite action against Kyoto Sanga.

Beach dropped as second-choice goalkeeper keeps just second clean sheet in the 2026/27 Ligue 1 season ๐ซ๐ซ๐ท๐ฆ๐บ
After a period of bad results for @estac_officiel in the French top flight, Australia international Patrick Beach was dropped from their most recent match as Troyes drew 0-0 away to Toulouse.
It hasn't been a good season for Beach and Troyes with the club sitting in second-last position with one win from eight matches. In a change of goalkeeper duties, Troyes' second-choice keeper managed to keep a clean sheet and the result could mean possible selection problems for the Socceroo in upcoming league fixtures.

"It would be safe to say in the visa department, Roar have long lacked those" ๐ฃ๏ธ๐ฐ๐ท๐ โซ๏ธ
On Friday night, the @brisbaneroar claimed a 2-1 home win over Perth Glory to kickstart their 2026/27 A-League Men's campaign with three points. FPF editor @ChristianMFPF gave his thoughts on the Roar and how they looked in their home win: ๐
"Many tuning in who watched this team last season may have joked to themselves about the pleasure of seeing Brisbane be a bit more focused on.. playing some football," Marchetti said.
"Vidic and Virgiliu Postolachi seem to already have a decent understanding (...) sprinkle in the excitement of Sabit Ngor, a solid outlet in Tate Russell, and the combativeness of Tyrese Francois, and this team might be alright.
"But Roar fans were here last season, bouncing off the walls after an early win, the bounces being heightened when they only lost one of their first eight. Only for the campaign to torpedo drastically with one win from the last 16, so letโs wait and see."
