Captions killing her vibe for real
Can we talk about Ilhan Omar for a second? What’s her real name? Why did she share the same name as her husband before they married? Who’s her baby daddy? And who’s her actual daddy? Because none of this adds up the way it should.

‼️ UPDATE — The Air Force sergeant who fell 170’ to his death from the Alamodome rafters in front of thousands of football fans had waited a year for the chance to take part in that military demonstration. Now his grieving father is revealing how excited they were about the opportunity that would tragically leave two little boys without their daddy. Tech. Sgt. Ian Patterson was just 33 when he fell during a rappelling demonstration before Saturday’s UTSA and Navy football game in San Antonio, Texas. His father, John Patterson, told Kentucky television stations WDRB and WAVE that Ian had hoped to participate in the annual tribute the previous year but didn’t get the chance. “I was very excited. I believe he wanted to do it last year as well,” John recalled in the interview with them. “He didn’t do it last year. So this year he had the opportunity.” Ian had served his country for 15 years, following in the footsteps of his father, an Army veteran. But behind the uniform was a loving husband and father to two little boys, ages 6 and 3. His wife, Niki, is now facing the heartbreaking reality of raising their sons without him. Her brother has started a fundraiser to help with living expenses and eventually moving closer to family. And as of Thursday morning, more than $160,000 had been raised to support them. Ian’s father remembers a hardworking, kind young man who loved baseball, especially the Colorado Rockies, and was proud to serve his country. When asked what he wanted people to remember about his son, John told WDRB and WAVE: “I just want to let people know that he was a wonderful man. I love him.” Meanwhile, Ian’s fellow airmen are promising to stand beside his children as they grow up. Ramiro Villalobos with the TACP Foundation told our reporter at Fox SA: “We’re there because dad can’t be.” The Air Force is still investigating what caused Ian’s fatal fall. Please keep Niki, their two little boys and Ian’s grieving parents in your prayers. And if you have a moment, leave this family a message of comfort and encouragement. I hope those boys grow up knowing just how much their daddy was loved.

I'm not impressed. I don't think he understands the chessboard and he's been around forever. Every fighter of note he's been involved with ended up saying he stole from them. This isn't a serious person.

INMATES CANNOT RUN THE ASYLUM!
Good riddance. Some of these boxers really need to be put in their place. Overpaid, red-ink fighters, drama queens, who have fits of inactivity. No thank you

We are in the midst of yet another sell off. Here’s a summary of the all the sell offs that have happened just *this year*. 2026’s major selloffs have revolved around three questions: Does AI threaten existing businesses? Will oil force rates higher? And will AI spending earn an adequate return? • LATE JAN–EARLY FEB: The software scare. Anthropic’s new tools raised fears that AI would undermine established software businesses. Software/services fell as much as 17% in six sessions. Buying returned Feb. 6–9, but that initial bounce wasn’t a full recovery. • MARCH: The Iran/oil shock. Disrupted energy supplies raised inflation fears, reduced hopes for rate cuts and threatened growth. Selling extended into March 30. The turnaround was fast: peace-deal optimism and easing economic fears helped push the S&P and Nasdaq back to records April 15—just over two weeks later. • JUNE: The interest-rate reset. Disappointing Broadcom results rattled chips, then strong jobs data increased fears of Fed hikes. Nasdaq fell 4.2% on June 5 alone. A rebound began the next session as buyers returned and Iran/Israel halted attacks. But selling resurfaced later in June. This wasn’t a clean V-shaped recovery. • JULY: Another AI unwind, compounded by oil and tariff pressure. Semiconductors were more than 20% below their late-June high by July 17. Rallies started July 20–21, with strong Amazon and Microsoft earnings strengthening the rebound late in the month. Recovery continued into August and September. • OCTOBER: AI financing and return concerns, hotter inflation and renewed oil pressure. Nasdaq lost 4.5% the week ended Oct. 16. Buying returned Oct. 19–21, but selling resumed Oct. 22. No confirmed recovery yet. The recurring lesson: stocks turned before every problem was resolved. Easing oil pressure and evidence that earnings could hold up brought buyers back. October still needs to pass that test.

From an athlete’s perspective, once a promotion publicly announces that it has signed you, that announcement alone generates publicity and value for the organization, even if you never actually compete. If there’s no signing bonus involved, I don’t see why an athlete would agree to an exclusive promotional contract without already having a specific bout agreement in place.

Rick, he’s very low IQ. he signed a promotional contract without a signing bonus! You lose complete leverage with that.
Shakur Stevenson will find out it isn't so rosy out there as a free agent, especially when you have no leverage. Could Eddie Hearn sign him, yes, but as part of that deal DAZN would unequivocally demand Shakur to guarantee in contract form a fight with Devin Haney. And we all just saw how Shakur held up a Haney fight. Don't hold your breath waiting for Shakur to fight Haney. You'll be turning blue. Boxing has a way of humbling even the great ones. Could Shakur Stevenson be the next great humbling? Enjoy your Friday! Please repost this if you could.

Jones has been fighting for close to 2 decades. He’s only been close to being finished 1 time. Against Vitor in Toronto. You can debate the AG & Reyes fights. Santos fight was competitive. But to go an entire career, never lose & only be close to being finished once? Crazy.
Jon Jones says Ilia Topuria was the first fighter he saw as a threat to his status as the greatest of all time: "Honestly I thought that Ilia would be the first threat to being considered the greatest of all time. And then we saw what happened to him." (via Prince St. Pizza/YT)

Dana White says he knew it was Alexander Volkov asking him a question at the presser yesterday 😭 “I absolutely knew. I thought he was doing some type of a shtick and I was waiting for the punchline. There was nothing, it was very odd.”
Alexander Volkov asked Dana White how to get a title shot at the UFC 333 press conference 😭 🗣️ Dana: "How old are you? What are you looking for, how can we help you?" 🗣️ Volkov: "I want to become UFC champion. What should I do to get a title shot?" 🗣️ Dana: "Talk to Sean and Mick."

What a SpaceX/SkyDance tie up could look like— Starlink bundles Skydance's streaming services. Starlink sells Paramount+ and HBO Max inside its subscriptions, with SpaceX paying a wholesale fee per subscriber. This works the way T-Mobile bundles Netflix. Live TV delivered over Starlink. A virtual cable package (CBS, TNT, CNN, sports) sold to Starlink homes. Library licensing plus content for X. Older catalog titles, clips and news on X with ad-revenue sharing. JPM notes X makes its money mainly from ads on user posts, so the value here is small.
Here's the part about John Malone's prediction that @SpaceX could invest $8-10 Billion in SkyDance.

I don’t know how it makes any sense other than PPV. If they’re willing to take smaller guarantees and eat what they kill on PPV, i guess it’s possible. But fighters have become accustomed to large guarantees. I don’t think there’s a market for it right now.
The fact that Floyd Mayweather vs Ryan Garcia is even being discussed shows just how bad things are in 2026.
