See our artwork depicting the work, showing SRSF2 as a novel reader of m5C on RNA, leading to splicing (left). The specific cancer-prevalent mutation, P95H, attenuates SRSF2’s ability to read this modification, which prevents splicing, and thereby promoting leukemia (right).
