Techno was created by a Black American named Juan Atkins from Detroit. Techno was NOT created in Berlin like many seem to think. RIP to this phenomenal Pioneer!
Rest in Peace Juan Atkins “the godfather of techno.” His unconventional sounds became the blueprint for an entire new genre of music, influencing generations of producers, DJs and record labels, like ours.

RIP to one of electronic music's greatest thinkers, Juan Atkins, who sadly passed away on Sunday, November 1st. This seminal recording from 1998 sees the Detroit veteran move from electro to house to techno in a way only he could.
