I haven’t gotten an email for the chance to get a Steam Machine. Even though I already have something that I built that I know is a little bit more performant, I’d still buy the Steam Machine to support Linux gaming. CEC would be sick too.

Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney says Steam is missing out on millions of PC players because it doesn’t have games like Fortnite, Riot Games titles, or Genshin Impact. Sweeney said Valve has “a nice thing going on on PC,” but added that Steam is “missing out on a lot of opportunity” by not having those games available on the platform. Sweeney also said Epic wants to work with Valve in the future, explaining, “We would love to interoperate with every company willing and to connect all the gamers.”

PSA for those wanting to run SteamOS with an RX 6000 series GPU: Installed 3.8 with my system using an RX 6700 XT and it will not wake properly from sleep, and if it does, the wake animation is pretty busted. Back to Bazzite for now.
