Day 2 of the Abu Dhabi Future Health Summit brought new agreements and launches advancing diabetic eye care, genomic research, and regional access to medicines. The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi announced a collaboration with Roche Pharmaceuticals UAE, launched its Trusted Research Environment, and led a strategic partnership with MSD, DSV and RAFED. Together, these initiatives will use real-world evidence to support earlier detection and management of diabetic macular edema, give approved researchers secure access to genomic and health data to advance personalised care, and establish a regional logistics hub in Abu Dhabi for medicines and vaccines serving the UAE, the Middle East and Africa.
