At some point, I got over the fact that our home grown veges didn't look like the porn versions in supermarkets. Here's our 1kg of harvested beetroot washed and ready for pickling. Purple, Striped White and Purple and Yellow. There's way more varieties than the shops offer.
We've harvested a few of our beetroot. I plan to pickle them when we get the rest out. Purple, Yellow, white striped. All fun, always something to do.

Let the chooks out at 4:30pm for peck around the garden. Then the rain started. They're different to Ducks. They're all up here on the verandah.

This is a great example of what creative people can give us. For a second, I thought I saw Albo! Nah. Faulty image recognition.
More and more ordinary Europeans are waking up and refusing to swallow the endless stream of propaganda, excuses and outright bullshit the establishment keeps trying to force down their throats. This video is now going viral across France and the EU, spreading like wildfire on YouTube, TikTok and X. And it’s hardly surprising. People are fed up with being lied to, patronised and treated like fools by their own leaders. Every failure, every political disaster and every consequence of their own decisions is conveniently pinned on Russia. Enough is enough. Europeans are tired of the endless blame game, the manufactured excuses and an establishment that is incapable of taking responsibility for its own failures.

It's hard to believe that at some earlier point in my life, going to bed was a punishment.

Pulled this puppy out of the green house today. Seems happy. Looks lovely. Streptocarpus (commonly known as Cape Primrose). We have others.

Better Lighting today. This Herron likes it here in our back yard. My presence must have ruffled at least one feather.
Here we go. I'll wait for better lighting tomorrow.

We've noticed a Pacific Blue Herron landing the the back yard daily over the last week. Must get my SLR with the zoom lens out of storage. Get a shot.

Jimmy Carr has lots of insight. I appreciate what he shares.
Real self-confidence comes from giving the world irrefutable proof that you are who you say you are. Watch the full episode on the High Performance YouTube channel: youtu.be/CotzNJNLEkE?si=-_Fr…

Looks like Toilet Paper scare v2. Baked Beans? Really. A 20kg bag of Basmati would be better. Happy to have a river in my back yard though.

This king parrot is camera shy. Sits on the trail cam, not in front of it.

Too many ahh's and umm's for any credibility. He's humiliated by being called to answer for his masters.
I call BS on this! Has anyone seen a reduction in the cost of their energy bills in 2026?

I can understand if he's been on the turps of recent times. Looks like it to me. Happy I've retired from the software game.
🚨 ELON MUSK WARNS: “At most, there are about 3 years left where you can still make money selling your work. After that, AI will do the majority of the tasks, and paying someone for their time stops making sense. The deal of the last 200 years — your time in exchange for a salary — is ending. And it is going to move more money between hands than anything in modern history.”

We're harvesting beetroot amongst other things. We have pulled up the usual Purple. Yellow was novel. Now we have a striped white and purple. Never seen these in supermarkets.

I ended up resurrecting an old garage ceiling hoist and using the surplus luggage basket from our previous Pajero. A sheet of pool linen in the basket will stop the sallies poop.
