Some games give you a world to explore.

@EVE_Frontier is pushing towards something much bigger.
Imagine exploring a hostile universe, gathering resources, building your infrastructure, defending your territory and eventually creating programmable systems that other players can interact with.
That's the idea behind Smart Assemblies.

tbh, i don't even know what to say anymore.
would I welcome support from the Sui Foundation? absolutely.
but that's not the biggest reason I'm still here.!
It's the games. there are still teams on Sui building, shipping updates and giving me valid reasons to keep showing up, even on days when I'm tired.
i don't work for any gaming project, and I'm not getting paid by any of them. I do this because I genuinely believe in what gaming and gaming on Sui can become.
my co-founders, @Feelikx_gaming and @JoyBoiAce, also play a huge role in keeping that belief alive. we've put in the work, and I know what we're trying to build.
but I'll be honest about something else: it gets difficult when the very games we're trying to support don't engage with the community that's championing them.
we have connections and contacts with almost all the games on Sui. Imagine what we could achieve with stronger collaboration between the builders and the communities supporting them.
I genuinely believe gaming is inevitable.
I just hope we get to see that same energy, commitment and structure return to the Nigerian Sui community.

I STILL BELIEVE.
While this is true to some extent, we also need to give credit to the revolutionaries of this community.
People who have paid attention may have noticed that many feel the Sui NG leaders just decided not to put in the work or effort to grow these communities. I don't think that's the full picture.
From what I've seen, the Sui Nigerian communities were underfunded, or the funding was cut off entirely, leading to less activity now than we had last year or in 2024.
Many communities still face this today, and only a few are still thriving, for instance @SuigamingNG, SuiHub etc
My thesis on why this happened is that the Sui NG communities were too fragmented. If they had been under a unified body, there might still be a Sui Nigerian community today.

the SuiPlay0X1 had the potential to become more than just another gaming handheld.
there's an entire gaming ecosystem on Sui that deserves to be experienced, showcased and brought closer to players.
@ACT_universe, @AresRPG, @EVE_Frontier and others are building. The hardware could be a great way to bring more attention to that work.
people believed in the vision enough to spend $599. They deserve communication, progress updates and a clearer picture of what's next.
sui gaming is still growing. Let's not waste the opportunity.
What actually is going on with the @SuiPlay?
Most people (myself included) paid $599 in 2024 for the SuiPlay0X1. I still remember when we all saw the news at KBW 2024!
I have multiple legendary NFTs and almost everyone I know wiped the Playtron OS to just install Windows to mimic a SteamDeck.
People I know like @TheGamerNode and myself would love to CTO! Gaming is only growing and Sui is such a great blockchain to build on.
We have games like @Suuuiplash, @act_universe, @warped_games, @AresRPG and @EVE_Frontier building on Sui. Why don’t we showcase these builders with SuiPlay?
Plus it’s been 7 months since an update and nothing even was mentioned at Basecamp.

One thing I want to see more of on Sui is stronger connections between gaming projects and the communities playing their games.
building a game or gaming product is one thing. getting it in front of the right people, keeping them interested, and turning that attention into actual users is another.
that's something I'm interested in exploring more through Sui Gaming Nigeria.
not just posting about projects, but finding ways to help them reach gamers, create meaningful engagement, and grow beyond the usual timeline.
