I totally love this. I knew Rahul Dravid and Shah Rukh Khan played hockey. I absolutely had no idea that folks like Heath Ledger, Harry Maguire, Emma Watson and Dr. Manmohan Singh also played the sport 🏑👌🏾
Excellent @hockeyind
While you eagerly (or nervously) wait for the Hockey World Cup to begin, here’s something to take your mind off it.

Given that our state’s population is likely to remain around 80 million over the next 20 years, we must start looking at data from a different perspective.
With a population growth rate of just 0.25%, school and college enrollments will naturally begin to decline, likely leading to the closure of lower quality institutions.
Consequently, the construction of new schools and colleges will be limited, unless they serve a unique or essential purpose.
The infrastructure we build, including metros, airports, expressways, roads, and parks, can be planned assuming a maximum capacity of around 100 million.
This provides a comfortable buffer: while our resident population sits at 80 million, the additional 20 million (a 25% cushion) accounts for a floating population of tourists, other state workers, and transient visitors.
This stability allows us to plan capacities precisely and build high quality infrastructure that will serve the state well for decades.
Furthermore, GDP, GDP per capita, and the Human Development Index (HDI) will continue to grow.
A decline in specific sectors, such as school admissions, should not cause alarm; it is simply the natural, successful outcome of a demographic transition.

#JCDPrabhakar #Thousandlights #LREaswari

Respected Prof @briankeating,
I learnt only after reading #TomGriffiths' "The Laws of Thought" under subheader "The #Remarkable Booles" that details #George Boole & #Mary Everest Boole, their 5 daughters & their progenies. A truly remarkable legacy.
@Princeton @HarperCollins
Did you know: George Boole and Geoffrey Hinton aren’t just intellectual relatives—they’re actual family. Hinton is Boole’s great-great-grandson.
Boole → logic, symbols, exact truth values
Hinton → probabilities, gradients, learned representations
One built the crisp skeleton of reasoning.
The other trained machines to blur it into something that feels like thought.
Same bloodline. Completely different theory of mind.
