Ancient history, convicts, Capt Cook and aboriginal culture (no offence to them) I wanted to know about my own British ancestors and their history who only left in 1900. That was denied from me.

If your English maternal line was British and you were born abroad, you generally could not inherit British citizenship the same way someone whose father was British could. Before 1983, citizenship by descent was usually only available through the male line. So your ancestors could have been in Britain for thousands of years like mine, but because the maternal line left barely a century ago they were classified as foreigners. Today Australians only make up a tiny 0.1% of the British population with no growth in the last 50 years, believe due to the discriminations they inherited. As a result, people whose maternal ancestors had lived in England for generations (like mine) lost any automatic claim once the line left the country, simply because the ancestor was a woman. It meant descendants inherited repeated discriminations long before Australian independence. A partial remedy was introduced in 2022 after many years too late. The Home Office has not widely publicised the route. It is difficult to find with a normal search based on personal circumstances alone, and it is not clearly linked from related pages such as the grandparent visa information. Most eligible people still do not know it exists. Some applications can be refused if the connection is considered too remote. Because the earlier law created the long delay, using that same delay as a reason to refuse the later remedy as line is "too far back" has left many people without a practical path, it also doesn't appear to be a remedy anymore when that happens. If this describes your family, the 2022 registration route may still be available. It is worth checking the official guidance carefully, as the rules are technical and depend on dates, the mother’s status, and place of birth.

The daughters and sons of those who died are now called “foreigners” in England. Good job Commonwealth. Well done. Not royals fault. Bravo British government 👏 . Such a wonderful legacy. All the incredible descrimination I experience in England is just so inspiring knowing that my ancestors sacrificed so much for what?

You are trying to highlight something outstanding about her. But the reality is many celebrities are like this. It’s all normal for that industry. That’s why I don’t respect them.

The stupidity of Margaret Thatcher: When a country turns on its own people, it is not governing—it is engaging in asymmetric state warfare. The moment a state systematically erases a segment of its population, it shatters the social contract. At that point, the government ceases to be a legal authority and becomes an armed aggressor. Any laws made to cut them out are not valid. Under Margaret Thatcher and previous discriminatory governments which predate Australian independence, Commonwealth citizens were targeted and erased when they made up a mere 0.1% of the population. She participated directly in this warfare, though the world was conned by her elegant speech. What a dangerous, selfish and unintelligent woman. Decades later, Australians with genuine British ancestry still make up only 0.1% of the UK population, or barely 0.2%, choked by 50 years of zero growth from discriminatory immigration policies she helped foster. That enhanced descriminative effects predating independence. People with direct blood ties to the land—some families who left less than a century ago—are treated appallingly as “foreigners.” Even the Ancestry (Grandparent) Visa ticks a birth-certificate box without regard for a family’s historic connection to the soil. Some of my family were very important engineering people sent by the crown to establish commonwealth colonies and set up and build lighthouses. You then prevented their descendants from returning and called them foreigners. Shame on you. Until 2022, Britain had no proper ancestry pathway the entire time. This is a huge cultural and ethnic abuse. The UK government has a massive historical debt to answer for. Why does Britain operate with no regard for preserving its own people and history? There is no reason. The British must realise that this ancient land, its history, castles, people and culture do not belong only to you. That selfish mindset should not be allowed in any government or its people. These lands, history, castles and places of significance also belong to our families, ancestors and forebears, who made and contributed heavily to them. Stop being greedy little pigs by trying to take it away from us. It’s a grand selfishness of a nation. A nation focused on its own snob high. Someone should have sent this women back to the butchers of which she came.

I smelled rabbits in an English deer park. None were there. I even dreamt about them being there with mixed dark brown colours. After a while, I was told it use to be a rabbit farm in old days. My line had been on that ground since around 10,000 BC, then locked out unfairly for a century. I kept going back because it felt like home. I discovered even later that maternal line is from right near there. I was conceived in the ancestral house nearby and didn’t know how close it was. Born abroad. I bought a place near a photo of my great-great-grandmother and walked past another every day. I still didn’t know till later when I was shown the photographs. Australia never felt like that. Britain calls me a foreigner and says I don’t belong.
