Delighted to support Show Racism the Red Card with big Billy Singh at the weekend.
A good day of solidarity in times when the far right seeks to divide us with hate.

The Jackdaw announcement is great news. Burnham’s government deserves real credit for doing the right thing for our country.
For too long, this and other vital decisions on gas supplies and storage have been put off: risking our energy security at a volatile time.

Thank you to Sumitomo Electric UK Power Cables for the invitation to the opening of the new factory in Nigg.
Huge opportunity to bring hundreds of skilled jobs in renewables to Scotland.

You can support an energy transition whilst calling out shambolic government policies that have driven up bills, cost jobs and put national security at risk.
We need a coherent plan for a transition, not policy driven by ideology.

Great to be in Glasgow today, as we talk through the negotiated offer to end pay discrimination in the city.
When we win equal pay, it will be because the men and women of Glasgow stood together.
Solidarity to GMB members in Leeds and Swansea in their fights for pay justice.

In 2018, the SNP council in Glasgow threatened to sue GMB when 1,000 cleansing workers refused to cross picket lines - now more threats.
But we will never forget the shameful part Labour played in decades of discrimination in Glasgow.

The Chancellor’s speech was full of hope and optimism for a reindustrialised Britain.

Labour was elected on a promise to fix a broken Britain.
Workers and communities are crying out for a better future.
We need action to put our industries, communities, and our country back where we belong.

When are politicians, both at a Scottish and UK level, going to end the madness of watching skilled workers be sacked while awarding contracts abroad?
When will we see the thousands of renewables jobs we’ve been promised being created in UK yards?

Building data centres could create huge opportunities for unionised construction jobs.
Scotland has lots of water and wind farms that we have to pay to turn off.
Building new nuclear to help power data centres would be great for jobs and the economy.

We must rebuild Scottish Labour as the party of working people in Scotland.
As Leader, I will unite our party and help build a future that belongs to Scotland’s workers.

We agree with the PM - care workers should be the best paid in society.
Without them there is no transformation of care.
Their voices must be central as the PM leads the changes social care desperately needs 🧑⚕️
