This morning, Year 6 have been acting out interviews with Charles Dickens where we were working on question tags. Well done everyone! @Gillibrand_Sch
SSP came in to run an Intra competition with other Chorley Schools today. Year 6 enjoyed challenging themselves in different sporting areas. @ChorleySSP @Gillibrand_Sch
After studying LS Lowry, we are today focusing on drawing and painting people in the ‘matchstick people’ style.
This afternoon, Year 6 have been using Digimap to look at and compare different areas of the North West. They have used their knowledge of OS symbols to find out about our region. @Gillibrand_Sch @Digimap4Schools

In science, Year 6 have been classifying living things using the Linnaeus system. Today, we created new species and the class have acted as taxonomists to classify these new species.

Yesterday I used @Rob7Burrow story to talk about legacy and and making a difference to others. We learnt that a legacy can be having values and attributes that others remember you by. Today we are reading @charliemackesy
