One Piece Grand Gourmet was my most anticipated game of 2026 since it was announced in June so I am very excited to play
I mean a part of me thinks this has to be an intentional optics nuke from someone who hates Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave, right? Like this was designed in a lab to evaporate any charity I had for FEFW fans. Old FE was nothing but tactical depth.
The same people who said the Switch 2 would be cracked and emulated within a month of release are now gloating about a minor game-side exploit a year and 4 months after release as if every other Nintendo console wasn’t completely jailbroken by now lmfao
Unrelated to the discourse but it always kills me how the game is mostly called “Echoes” by fans despite the fact that it’s fairly obvious that “Fire Emblem Echoes” was supposed to be the name of a subseries of FE remakes that never got a followup bc SoV bombed

When the Xbox One tried to double down on being a “multimedia entertainment system” the response was ridicule. The simple answer is that when Netflix is common enough on TVs to have a dedicated button on a remote and on every single smart phone, why bother with it on Switch?

I am insanely satisfied with the status quo. I don’t want them fucking up the amazing formula they’ve established for themself by making “biggerer betterer” (bloated) games or trying to make a Switch 2 Pro. No downside to themes and such but not super necessary either.
