The grey seals in the green sea
the grey seals in the green sea
you and me and
the grey seals in the green sea
Just popping over from the blue blue skies of Bluesky to say hi to @IMcMillan and to pass on this picture, Ian , I like the idea that all three of these maestro may have passed through Wombwell on the train to Huddersfield and thrilled at the prospect of the Penistone viaduct
After the gale
still blowly
but fresh and clear
the lights were off
down the lane
the last of the
blue day
reflected in
melt water and
rain
by the lake
the fishermen had
lit a fire
smoke and mirrors
Out for a dusk walk
as the sun set and the colour drains from the land
a score of geese skids into land on the frozen lake
a white owl flies across
the black and white fields
Just popping over to thank the last bard standing @IMcMillan and @DarfieldMuseum museum for a wonderful evening of carol's on the patio . Thnx to the @BarnsleyCivic pride choir too.
I barely post or even look at this mess anymore , I've kept the account to keep up a few hardcore & as a journal . But that second function is shafted by the shite search function & by folk deleting accounts . Tried to find a post that definitely exists but nope.
I think it was Les Reed or maybe Geoff Stephens who said "There's a kind of hush all over the world tonight"

We are so sorry to hear that our patron Timothy West has died. Not only was he a wonderful and versatile actor but he was a great supporter of the arts and Mikron. We will miss him. Our thoughts are with his friends and family.
Will you miss this old place ...nope
