After 80 hours of ceasefire, Lubinets has finally reached Oleshky and is speaking directly with residents. Humanitarian aid and evacuations are reportedly underway, with 527 people requesting passage to Ukrainian-controlled territory. Now the priority is getting them home safely.

Омбудсмен Дмитро Лубінець повідомив, що українська делегація безпечно дісталася окупованих Олешок. На місці вже почали роздавати гуманітарну допомогу та евакуйовувати людей.
За словами Сергія Корецького, 527 жителів заявили про бажання виїхати на підконтрольну Україні територію.
Це перший практичний результат локального перемир’я: після кількох днів режиму тиші гуманітарна місія перейшла безпосередньо до допомоги людям і евакуації.

The ceasefire has been in effect for 80 hours and remains in place. I am currently on the ground, speaking with local residents to hear about their needs and understand what kind of assistance they need most.

Russian and Ukrainian humanitarian teams are on the ground in Oleshky, delivering aid and preparing the convoy for civilian evacuation.
These coordinated operations are proceeding in full accordance with the agreements established between Ukraine and Russia.

OUR PRIORITY: SAVING LIVES
The convoy is prepared to safely evacuate over 750 people who voluntarily choose to leave Oleshky. It includes 25 buses, 50 medical professionals, and ambulances.
All elements of the convoy, including the safe passageway in and out of Oleshky, was established through mutual agreement between Russian and Ukrainian leaders.

We are not going to tolerate threats to assassinate the president. Allison Albro, 21, Daytona Beach, is learning that the hard way. She posted this last night and got a visit from the @VolusiaSheriff Domestic Security Unit and the @SecretService. She said she was joking with this post, she doesn’t have access to a Glock or any other weapon, and she would never hurt anyone. Today she’s sitting in jail on charges of written threats to kill and unlawful use of a communications device. I would strongly advise anyone else thinking of posting a “joke” along these lines to think twice. VSO continues to work hand in hand with the Secret Service, FBI and all our law enforcement partners to ensure this presidential visit to Daytona Beach is a safe event for all who attend, and for our whole community.

This is the part that should make everyone furious.

Final order of removal.
Reentered the country anyway.
And now a young man is dead.
At some point “the system failed” stops being an explanation and starts becoming an indictment of the system itself.
Enforce the orders already issued.
Prosecute unlawful reentry.
And when repeated failures have consequences this permanent, somebody needs to answer for them. 🙄
