Before local AI is banned, learn how to host and tune your own models.
Specific learning curves to understand for me were:
- Offloading portions of newer models to SSD rather than RAM
- Prompt caching configs
- Preload tuning
- the right choice of model for the task
- pre optimized models for your hardware and harness
- finding the fastest inference server at the web/api level

Opened a #sticker storefront but don’t worry! I’ll have some with me at the next con too. Hopefully @thotcon, fingers crossed! Thinking about submitting to the CFP. Working on more designs! allowsomedenyall-shop.fourth… #flock #wardriving
We got a storefront set up for them. If I happen to see you at a con before then, I’ll have some with me there too. #wardriving

There's a lot of noise right now about the future of LoRa mesh. Here's something more useful: actual field data.
Shout-out to YYCmesh for putting together a 500 kHz field report and sharing their methods and results with the wider community.

Time for people to talk to and/or join ASTM committee F42. The 3D printer law is dependent on a standard from them (Side note: I have some pre-ban Ender3 printers for sale - low mileage, non-smoker, no AB2047 restrictions on them 😜 CA resident price $500. All others $60.)
The California Governor has signed multiple gun control bills, including the 3D printer bill (AB-2047) and the bill requiring 4 hours of training for a firearm safety certificate (SB-948): gov.ca.gov/2026/09/26/govern…

Hi,
One of us worked on this tech 8-ish years ago, using phone signals, CCTV cameras, BT, Wifi, 4/5g, and ultrasonic signals to track your movement
Fun fact: did you know some stores shoot ultrasonic ad info to phones that listen in on - look up: Ultrasonic Tracking (uXDT)
We can measure what part of the shelf gets customer attention without any additional hardware. Just your normal CCTV cameras and a digital twin made with the phone in your pocket.
@CactusXR will absolutely revolutionize how well stores can do their merchandising.

I decided to print a new one and the fitment is sooo much better than my original attempt. 💯
Get your rigs ready! October 17th will be here before you know it. #HHB24Wigle
Having your devices outside of your car will yield superior results in wardriving. External antennas or something like the Wiglefin work well. You still have time to make one before the 24 Hours of HHB next month. Courtesy of @thebaldgeek -

The day is finally here. The folks from OpenPocket have gotten FM demod working on an ESP32 C5 chip, and made it output CVBS via an external 6bit DAC. I played around yesterday, got @_colonel_panic's OUI SPY prototype board to act as a FPV video Geiger counter.
