Holy shit. Trump says if anyone starts knocking down walls at the White House, “You’ll call me wherever I may be, and I will come back here and I will make sure it never happens.”
Sir, that’s the White House. You don’t get to keep a key.

"We need to restore faith in government, and that starts with holding people to account for their corrupt or criminal behavior. We tried the 'let bygones be bygones' approach in the Biden era, and look where it got us. All it does is embolden bad people to feel like they can act with impunity. The Oversight and Judiciary Committees should exercise their subpoena and investigative powers and begin building cases that could be sent to a future DOJ or state attorneys general for prosecution. The era of self-dealing, of crypto scams, of kickbacks, and of selling access is over."

Repost if you think a Supreme Court justice who took more than $2.4 million in gifts shouldn’t get to keep his job for life. 👇
I believe in punishing people if they break the law, but that isn't revenge, which I think is wrong even if one is having those kinds of feelings.
just enforce the law! "accountability"--"justice"--"preventative measures"--these are the proper terms.
the very word "revenge" suggests something rogue, unlawful in itself. please do not give the media that word to headline: they will use it to pillory Democrats.
there is no need to be unlawful when the law is on your side languishing because no one has been responsible & has enforced it.

Thank you, Mayor Mamdani.
You boosted the morale of people all over the U.S. and the world.
Your energy and spirit give the American people hope.
Trump is a bully. Schumer and Jeffries are too far in the other direction. We need strong leaders who don't come off as bullies. Schumer and Jeffries just seem to be negotiators.
I keep hearing we have to stop the war to bring down prices. How about stopping a war because we need to stop killing people.
I think Republicans should be punished for actual crimes they committed.
It’s not a question of "getting even."
It’s not even a question.
It’s a duty.
It’s the power and duty of Congress to provide oversight. To ensure that the executive branch is being operated in accordance with the Constitution and the laws that Congress has enacted on the people’s behalf. And to ensure that tax dollars are being spent in the interests of the people, and not for the benefit of the public servants who administer the accounts on the people’s behalf.
This power and duty was exercised by Congress from the earliest moments of the Washington Administration. It has been forsaken by corrupt and craven Congresses of recent years.
It is the new Congress's solemn obligation to resume performance of its duty to oversee the executive branch, and any leader who can’t commit to that obligation should stand aside.

NEW: Mamdani’s message to Democrats after their election victories: lower living costs, “build, not bomb,” and put working people first. “It is not enough for us as Democrats to win power.
We have to use that power to deliver change that Americans can feel in their wallets.” Affordable housing.
Childcare. Results people can feel. That’s the mandate.
