Our first in-person, in-city lab retreat was a roaring success! Custom t-shirts & coffee mugs, a room with a view @LoganUChicago where we went over topics ranging from mental health in academia to making graphical abstracts, capped off with a trip to @GreatEscapeRoom & dinner 🥳

And last but not least, meet @MeghanaNatesh! A Fulbright scholar, Meghana is studying population genetics and demographic history of yak populations from the Indian Himalayas 🏔️ based on genomic data from contemporary and historical samples 🐃. She also loves birdwatching! 🦜

Next up, meet @mootspoints! Hannah collaborates with archaeologists and geneticists on campus and around the world. 🏺 She advocates for ethical and critical approaches to aDNA research and is offering a course on Bioethics and aDNA in spring. 🧬 She is also an avid runner! 🏃‍♀️

Meet our postdoc @Conydelafc! 🧬 Constanza is developing sustainable research strategies for incorporating ancient DNA tools to answer regional questions across the Americas, in particular her home country, Chile 🇨🇱. Outside of lab, you can often find her rock climbing! 🧗
