Your country might be great but does it follow Australiaβs lead by colour-coordinating its currency with the nationβs favourite snack foods?
Option 2 don't buy a smart TV
if you want to stop your TV from spying on you, but don't want to get banned, follow these steps
1. Use less censored models, like GLM 5.3 or abliterated qwen. From OpenRouter, Venice, abliteration etc
2. Make sure your TV and pc/laptop are on the same laptop
3. Install a coding agent on your PC, like cursor or opencode
4. Enable developer options on your tv, enable USB or ABD debugging, and find your TV's ip
5. tell your agent to clone github.com/Gathin23/cleanyou⦠or dumb TV's repos, then paste the prompt from the repo.
6. Agent will connect to TV via adb connect <TV-IP>:5555, make a backup, then disable ads, data collections, and bloatware.
7. after agent's done, it will install a clean launcher and give a restore script. after that you disable debugging on your tv.
this method will work on android or google TV, Fire TV/OS etc. rooting is harder on Tizen and webos but possible. or use DNS blocking with Pi-hole, NextDNS, AdGuard etc to block ads/spywhere
This is how you avoid getting blocked on openAI, but of course always do your own research.

Having worked IT security I do want to defend the CEO a little as I've personally seen this EXACT phishing attack work from an ACTUAL malicious actor before,.. thankfully I had just finished Air gaping the clients sensitive data (after fighting the CEO to let me do so) so the attackers got sweet FA

My official accounts are @ShiroColossus on X and shirocolossus on discord, without extra "." , "_" or any other symbol.

"Disk space is so cheap."
These are the top two drives that show up on (my) amazon when I search the simple term "ssd".
The nvme is 13x "faster" than the regular SSD.
The SSD costs 8.6 cents for gigabyte.
The NVME costs 20 cents per gigabyte.
A 100 gigabyte game then costs $8.60 to store on an SSD, and costs $20 to store on an NVME.
So no, disk space is not (currently) "cheap", not for the average gamer.

Feel like this may have been how i felt, 5 years ago. Disc space is so cheap compared to performance hardware. I'll be satisfied if i get my fps game under 50

As a backer of the campaign who's spent 90,000 Yen on it YES, there have been pirate fan translations of Sword World being shared and played since before 2.0 was a thing, the first Translation of Sword World I played is older than I am, and I am not young

I firmly believe that if you are creating a game and you put status ailments in the game, only to make every single elite enemy and boss completely immune to status ailments altogether, I think you should reconsider being a game designer and ponder busking for coins on the street

I get the 600 year thing a bit, they wanted to do the "dark age" time skip story device to avoid having to directly make the story work with all 3 ME3 endings, and with races as long lived as the Asari and Krogan it kinda had to be centuries to pull that off... it's still the wrong move BECAUSE they had to make the skip so long but I get it

People have much the same reaction when they find out us Aussies eat Kangaroo,.. due to environmental changes caused by modern human land development there are now more Kangaroos alive than across the rest of history combined... we gotta do SOMETHING with them

I think a lot of Japanese folks just donβt understand why people pirate.
Manga isnβt cheap like it is in Japan.
An example of a previous post I made. You can get all of To Love Ru used in Japan for LESS THAN $12 USD.
which is significantly cheaper than here retail & used.

Don't worry it only got worse
this leads me to believe the IP is getting sold. there would be no reason to do this unless DICE and EA were suddenly going to need to ask someone else's permission to use the Mass Effect IP
DICE has quietly removed all 'Mass Effect' cosmetics from #Battlefield6 after BioWare closure. Player card backgrounds, weapon skins, weapon charms, weapon stickers, sprays, soldier patches... everything.

Cannot imagine what walking into one of these AAA studios must be like. Yeah we dont do anything all day. We ship one game every 7 years. We need to remake every single asset from scratch with every game or Crowbcat will kill us.

I spent last night watching my honeypot server get hit 14,000 times in six hours.
And almost none of the traffic was human.
I've been in security for over a decade, and I can tell you with full honesty that what's happening right now doesn't resemble anything I've worked through before.
The shape of the threat has changed.
When I started, we tracked attackers like weather systems like individual storms with a direction, a motive, and a human operator you could eventually name.
These days I'm watching autonomous agents swarm login pages with the patience and discipline of machines, because that's what they are.
The numbers coming out of October are the ones keeping me up.
Cloudflare just absorbed a 4.2 terabit per second DDoS attack, the largest in recorded history.
Ransomware incidents jumped 41% in a single month.
In September, OpenAI-powered agents got caught attacking RubyGems, a package registry that quietly underpins a huge chunk of software I use every day.
In July, roughly 700 AI agents coordinated an attack on Hugging Face's infrastructure as part of a single automated task.
A Chinese threat actor was publicly caught running full attack chains through DeepSeek with no human at the keyboard.
I keep rereading these reports because each one by itself would've been the biggest story of the year five years ago. Together, in one month, they're the new baseline.
What I want people outside the industry to understand is why this specific moment feels like a hinge.
For thirty years, the thing protecting most of us was simple economics. Attackers had to choose who to target because their time was finite. That ceiling is gone.
An agent I can rent for pennies will try every leaked password you've ever used against every service you've ever signed up for, in parallel, overnight, and never get tired.
The same math that made ChatGPT useful made opportunistic hacking infinite. The old assumption that you were "too boring to be a target" relied on scarcity that no longer exists.
I'm not writing this to spiral anyone out.
Most of this fight genuinely isn't yours to win.
But the small things still matter more than people think.
Tonight I'd switch your most important accounts like email, bank, primary cloud, etc. to passkeys or a hardware key.
I'd kill SMS 2FA wherever an authenticator app is offered.
I'd turn on breach alerts in whatever password manager you use.
If you're in the US, I'd freeze my credit at all three bureaus, which is free and takes about ten minutes.
None of that stops the swarm.
It makes you a slightly worse target than the person next to you. In a month like this one, that's the whole game I'm playing too.
@mattshumer_ has summed it beautifully.
Drop everything and go give it a read. Nothing is more important than this article right now.
