The same man who prides himself on his role in the NADECO struggle against military rule now presides over a government facing serious questions about its commitment to the very democratic freedoms he once championed.
Bola Tinubu has repeatedly been celebrated as a father of democracy. But democracy is not a title to wear when convenient. It is a principle that must be defended, especially when citizens criticize those in power.
The DSS must never become a political weapon for intimidating citizens, silencing dissent, or suppressing opposing voices. Any misuse of state security agencies for political persecution is a direct assault on constitutional freedoms.
Democracy does not end when criticism of the president begins.
The government owes Nigerians answers, accountability, and respect for their fundamental rights. No president is above the Constitution, and no citizen should lose their freedom simply for challenging those in authority.

I am honoured to share that I have been selected for the Aspire Leaders Program, a leadership journey with Harvard Business School @HarvardHBS Aspire Institute.
This would provide me an experience in Harvard’s legacy of leadership and intellectual excellence.
As someone passionate about governance, public policy, strategy, institutional reform, and Africa’s development, I believe leadership is not just about claiming a seat at a table, but about acquiring adequate knowledge, courage, global intellects and actual capacity to transform people and policies.
This is another step in my commitment to continuous learning, global collaboration, and impactful leadership, and I look forward to building meaningful connections around the world I aspire to shape.

FIRST OF ALL, IT IS ILLEGAL TO BURY SOMEONE IN A HOUSE. KNOW YOUR COUNTRY’S LAW! NIGERIAN CCA 246!
It seems like the only reason his family and online supporters want him buried in his house is to torment his widow and children, because they knew she would say no, and for some manufactured reasons in their head, they find her decision suspicious.
That’s just another trick of trapping his property from her and her children because they know she won’t stay there, or might want to sell it.
After mourning your loved one, you are encouraged to heal, accept, and move on. Not stare at their grave every minute of the day.
Why can’t the father bury his son in his own compound?
I personally won’t visit anybody who turned their house into a mausoleum, even if it’s a culture. That shit is creepy as hell.
Let me add this to my will. On no condition should I be buried in a house.
A painful family disagreement has reportedly erupted between late gospel singer Toluwanisings' father and his wife over where he should be buried.
While his father wants him laid to rest at his house or taken to Ikirun, where his late mother was buried, his wife reportedly prefers a cemetery in Ibadan.
Speaking with deep emotion, his father explained that he lives in a rented single room in Ikirun but insists that if his son cannot be buried at his home, he should be brought to Ikirun and laid to rest in his own father's house, just like his mother.
Unless she’s the one who built the house, this makes no sense. It’s not easy for her to see her late husband’s grave but she’ll be seeing his cars every day right???

Chop I chop government.
If you are planning to sell your votes or loyalty to APC, or have already done so, make sure you’re getting handsomely rewarded for it. Don’t allow them to emotionally blackmail you!
A friend in the diaspora who also works in their media team told me confidently that Tinubu placed them on a monthly allowance of $5k USD until the campaign is over. They will also get free flights to Lagos for the re-election party if they win.
If your own contribution to the party is just spreading bigotry and fake news, and you also didn’t make the list of top beneficiaries in the party, you don’t matter.
If they are rewarding your mates, why should you be left out? If I were you, I’d take a step back and ask for equal treatment.

26 bowls of soups can overwhelm a home freezer depending on the size. If the soups were hot when placed in the freezer, that’s another issue. The bottom line is that the freezer did not work. There’s no magic to it. If there were no ice on the sides of the freezer then it wasn’t working.
