I did the thing vs the guy and it's very reflective of how the entire set went I promise.
I realize looking back that many of my best memories with 3rd Strike were when I was learning the game with my friends, discovering some weird new mechanic or quirk or fun fact every day. That went away, but I still wanted to be the best. But not anymore.
So TLDR; I'm going to be worrying less about competing and focus more on TOing going forward, because its what I love to do. I'm also going to branch off into new games, because I think playing only 3s for so long has hurt my enjoyment for video games as a whole.
Thanks to everyone who helped me realize this, especially @Key0ske @lilygusokumoshi and @EverythingWhifs. Without you guys I wouldn't have been able to take this important step in redeveloping my own happiness.
Going to be taking a hiatus from running and attending events, Frosty Faustings will probably be the last place I'm seen for a long time as I don't think I can afford to travel to Jazzy Finale anymore. I'll be back when the time is right, but I have other things to focus on now.
