My thesis for @inkonchain and why I think is the next big chain with massive potential (like early RH/Base chain)
Ink chain is the official L2 by @krakenfx exchange, one of the leading T1 CEXs in US
Why do I think Ink chain has better asymmetry than Base by Coinbase / RH chain by Robinhood?
Here is what catalysts we know for the chain:
- $INK TGE & airdrop confirmed with tokenomics dropping as early as this Q4 - $INK will drive massive flows to the chain
- Kraken IPO confirmed for Q2 '27 - another good attention event
- Kraken owns @xStocksFi and their plan is exactly like RH - own a large share of tokenized RWAs volume pie and grow their TVL on their native chain @inkonchain - so the same game plan like RH chain
- Top tier team - @arjunsethi (CEO of Kraken) is very well respected public finance/crypto figure, he has a seat at every major US crypto roundtable (next to CZ, Brian Armstrong, Vlad Tenev, etc) and the same guy has started showing support to a number of meme/nft INK projects (even changed his banner with few meme/nft projects displayed).
- @inkonchain + @krakenfx as well have been showing support and interacting with ink meme projects on x - which is a big green flag that they know how important is meme culture for the chain
- Base & RH both already had crazy PVE seasons with multi 9 fig runners and exponential growth in TVL (Ink is yet to prove itself and still havent had a huge capital rotation and big KOLs push - all chains good or bad have their PVE szns even if only for a few days, Ink is still yet to have one)
- Kraken/Ink team recently started showing signs of building speculation around the airdrop - which is a good indicator its close
- Kraken have confirmed they will start listing ink coins when timing is right
- @fomo still havent integrated INK chain - so that will be another catalyst that will onboard new KOLs and traders to the chain
- Ink still havent had the "new shiny chain" syndrome that sends even shitty chains like Arc in PVE for few days
Also I've been early to Base & RH and have seen what makes a successful chain:
1. Strong backing and influential/charismatic leaders -as I said we have that with @krakenfx + @arjunsethi + @xStocksFi + @Payward and all necessary legal frameworks/connections to make @inkonchain work
2. Inflow of new developers/builders deciding to build on the chain long term - we are seeing generous builder grants by @inkonchain as well as big wave of new serious builders focusing on INK last few months + I've seen the top INK projects are receiving plenty of direct and indirect support from Ink/Kraken team
3. Future flows of new volume to the chain - as I've listed the catalysts above, this should be easy
So the next logical question is how do we bet on INK chain? Which are the best projects for exposure of INK doing well? 🧵...
Stef claims Kraken's Ink chain has more potential than Robinhood ahead of their airdrop and IPO.
