Donald, it's the Nobel PEACE Prize!

Sadly I see the news. Still I must ask a question of those in charge of certain countries and have arsenals of unbelievably devastating armaments. This planet is the ONLY home we have. Is it too much to ask that we preserve it. Let's ensure a future for us all?

Known it since the 1950's, yes that long!

Why do people want to destroy other people's lives whether many thousands at a time of one here and one there. We have a right to live in peace, cherish what we have, those we love and the places we call home.

Just a reminder to certain world leaders, especially those who are face to face, toe to toe with world peace in their hands; THIS PLANET IS THE ONLY HOME WE'VE GOT. DON'T DESTROY IT.

Sad news about the passing of Marianne Faithfull an icon of the 1960's music scene. I recall her film Girl On A Motorcycle with music by my late friend Les Reed. I guess we cannot expect people to live forever but some just go too early.

Recently had a routine visit to an NHS hospital. Procedure took a while but the meticulous expertise from a bright medical team deserves high praise. Warmth, friendliness & skill. Sent huge praise via the appropriate patient website. The lead doctor & her team were amazing.

I've just been chilling to the music of genius jazz pianist Erroll Garner. You've just got to check him out. Sure we are going back a long way but just watch him play, hardly looking at the piano keys but creating a jazz mood to lose yourself in. Google the guy and enjoy.

Is there, or has there been anyone who the world has admired, valued and respected and in whose hands we feel or have felt safe?

So, if you've made billions of dollars you have the right to comment on and even fashion the politics of any country without having been elected to do so.

Three friends wrestling with challenging illnesses, lost a fourth friend just before Christmas. I often pass a church when out and about, pause and ask why! I am not moved to enter for reasons you can imagine.

Just seen Kim Wilde on @SaturdayKitchen. Her one time babysitter of years ago was alongside me smiling. Bless.
