Some lovely amygdales(?) in some dolerite, en-echelon veins and fluid breccia seen at Trevose Head Quarry, north Cornwall
Cheeky trip to Trevose, North Cornwall. Got to see some dolerite, metasediments and limestone. Pictures of these will follow soon. Here's some secondary copper mineralisation seen in the old Quarry. Lots of complex Variscan deformation can be seen at Trevose Head #geology
Looking forward to a respite in the storms to safely get out and see some rocks in the wild with some geologists! Here's some pictures from Cornwall from a few years back. Can you guess where some of them were taken? #pegmatites #cornwall #lithium
Haven't posted in a while.. I recently did the Lands End 100 mile Sportive I placed 14th overall and 5th in my age group. I can't complain considering skipped the first feed station and missed the 2nd - had to stop in a pub to fill up water. I was pretty desperate then! #cycling
Yesterday's final ride was full of rolling hills and flat sections but the heat was pretty intense. On my way back to Devon today #roadcycling
Day 2 of Tour de Somerset another solo ride this time I'm heading towards Gloucester #cycling – at Berkeley, England
Bagged a few p

Nice attempt to get a personal best on the cheddar Gorge hill climb one of the toughest climbs in the UK! Certainly one of the most beautiful! #cycling #cheddergorge #cycling – at Cheddar, England
Looking forward to seeing my family in Bristol over this weekend and an taking the opportunity to do some cycling on less intense hills 🌞 😁.
Nice solo loop around Land's End windy, cold but surprisingly dry! #cyclng
Today I officially graduated from my PhD at the Open University @CENTA_NERC @DocBGS It has been a long journey with many ups and downs and lots of coffee! I'm thankful for the people who've helped make this journey possible. Looking forward to what the future may bring! #phd – at Birmingham, England
I'm finally graduating from my PhD tomorrow so I'm treating myself to a Tribute after a fairly long journey up country! #phdlife – at Birmingham, England

Lovely but of Wolframite!
On a separate note I'm happy to announce I've been offered a postdoctoral position on host rock controls on rare metal pegmatites in NW China at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Ürümqi, China. #geology #criticalmetals #mineraldeposits #lithium
I have some very exciting news to share but I can't just yet - watch this space! Lots of big changes will be happening in the next few months!
