My take on #KeepSpaceTidy, Used B3d Active debris removal is crucial to prevent collisions in space, ensuring the safety of satellites and astronauts, maintaining sustainable space operations, and preserving the orbital environment for future missions. Age category 18+
This is my take on #KeepSpaceTidy ADR spacecraft design competition. Modeled and rendered in Blender, the background Moon is generated from LOLA DEM data. The craft has a hybrid propulsion system combined with Ion thrusters. It is solar-powered, and has spacial and spectral navigation modules, a deep space laser com system module, a standard docking port, a robotic arm with the harpoon, and a grappling net system to catch or hook target objects. The arm also enjoys six degrees of freedom so intense uncontrolled rotation can be handled when the craft stays stable. The arm also has magnetic core catch-up capabilities in case of small-scale metal debris removal.
