Return from surgery loading.
My arm continues to improve each week but needs more time, so I’ll be skipping this month’s competition with a new goal of competing in Palma next month 🤞
Enjoying the time at home with wife and baby, and continuing the training grind to get back in form. Can’t wait to get back on the strip!
2026 Summer Nationals are a wrap.
Always great to see familiar faces, meet some new ones, and work with the next generation of champions.
Congratulations to everyone on the completion of another @usafencing season. Whether or not you achieved the results you were hoping for at Nationals, or if you even competed, reflect on the work you put into the long season and the strides that you made. Take some time to reset and when you’re ready to return to training, attack preparations for the new season with a fresh mindset and a clear purpose. As a young fencer myself, summers were always when I noticed the biggest jumps in my fencing.
Game time tomorrow here in Lima 🔒
Top 64 matchup with Abe (JPN) at 9:40am CT on Strip Yellow.
Lee faces Hayes (CAN) at 11:00am CT on Strip 8.

A throwback in honor of NCAA Championships starting today 🤺 🏆
Good luck to everybody competing over these next four days. There’s nothing quite like the nerves and adrenaline that come with being one of the few to represent all the work the team has put in over the season.
Some fun memories from 2014 including:
- me looking awkward in a business magazine shoot
- action from a tight NCAA gold medal bout
- a young Coach Gia before all his historic NCAA titles
- an M Team sweep!
A really special weekend working with fencers from all over the Bay Area where I started fencing almost 26 years ago. It’s amazing to see how much the community has grown and strengthened in that time.
Some pictures from our awesome group of youngsters that brought focus and energy at just the right times. Not shown are our equally great 13-and-older fencers that put in the work on Sunday.
Bringing home a NAC bronze from Texas 🤠🥉
A mixed bag of fencing but happy to end up on the podium and motivated to get back to training with our next World Cup in just a few weekends.
New season energy.
Flying to Mallorca, Spain, for the first World Cup of the 2025-2026 season. Back in the preliminary rounds on Friday and excited for the challenge.

This sport constantly brings new challenges, excitement, and opportunities for growth. Here’s to hoping it can continue its growth and that more people will have the opportunity to learn firsthand how dynamic, physical, and absolutely thrilling it is.
To all the fencers out there, continue to work toward your goals each day but also find moments to appreciate how lucky we all are to play such an incredible, unique sport.

Been unplugged the past week during an incredible week in the Philippines with family, but a happy belated six years of marriage to my love. Grateful for the life we are building together.
Many more adventuring photos to come 🙃
Working hard and playing hard with KM Fencing🇹🇭 🇲🇴

Couldn’t be prouder to stand up there with these men. We came out strong and brought the energy in some matches. We rallied back furiously in others. Wish I could’ve personally brought more to the final. But through it all, we had each other’s backs and never lost hope.
This caps a tough but rewarding season for me. Ready for this offseason of recovery with the hope of coming into next season stronger.
Thanks for all the support through the ups and downs that come with a sport like ours.

I have been working through what turned out to be a pretty significant injury at the Vancouver World Cup and am proud of the focus and creativity I mustered yesterday to end up on the podium. Excited for the upcoming month of preparation for World Championships!
𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙚𝙙 for my 18th Senior World Championships/Olympics next month in Tbilisi, Georgia.
This has been a challenging season both physically and mentally- recovering from surgery, managing new injuries, and making some pretty big life changes. I’m appreciative of the people I have in my corner that have helped me through it.
Significant preparations to be made over the next month-and-a-half with my guys and look forward to showing out with them in Tbilisi 🇺🇸

A hard-fought team gold with the squad at the final World Cup of the season!
I’m especially proud of how we banded together and responded to a number of things thrown our way despite it being the first time the four of us competed in team together.
Quick turnaround to the Shanghai Grand Prix. Heading home with a main objective of recovery and getting the body right.
Off day in Vancouver 🚴♂️🚴♀️
After a few productive days of training, we got to enjoy the beautiful city today, renting bikes for a loop around town. Competition mode starts tomorrow with equipment check and some work at the venue before we compete in individual on Saturday and team on Sunday.
