Can someone making $115k per year not afford a $50k truck?
I was curious to see how the numbers played out so I pulled actual numbers from @Ford website for a new F-150 and plugged the numbers into @Get_Elements to answer the question.

A lot of you cannot afford the trucks you're driving
Of the people I talk to in financial trouble, a huge percentage own trucks or SUVs
I talked to Brad & Becca who own a $50k truck. If you make $115k, you cannot afford a $50k truck
I asked Brad if he needs it for work
Brad: "No, we use it to pull our RV"
Of course. Spend a bunch of $ on an RV, which forces you to spend more $ to buy something that can pull it
I ask Brad, "How did you decide how much you could afford?"
His answer: "Monthly payments"
All of these are extremely revealing clues. What do you notice?
Brad exhibits classic clues about being UNSAVVY WITH MONEY
Examples:
* Deciding how you're doing financially based on the $ in your checking account
* Buying based on monthly payments
* Buying a trailer, which then causes you to buy a truck (tail wagging dog)
