Everyone is rightly pointing out that this was the fault of the organizers not properly coordinating. But the abuse of the situation to inflame trad-friendly folks against the Vatican (and implicitly against the HF) is more egregious. It just proves TC right. There is a firmly rooted rebelliousness and tendency towards dissension and schism in the trad groups. They should not be indulged, and we should avoid signaling that this mindset is okay. They already believe that Rome and most of the episcopate is apostate—effectively, even if many avoid saying it bluntly. So a concern that they might be alienated by restrictions is easily overstated. They already believe they’re being persecuted. And most of them will be satisfied with nothing less than declaring V2 a mistake and rolling back liturgical reforms. Until that imagined time, they will continue to cry foul at every perceived and real restriction. There is no compromise with them. The available compromise is rejected. They refuse to work on focusing to make the current rite celebrated well and reverently. This is a textbook example of obstinate refusal of correction. A firm hand is warranted.

I no longer take ANY science at face value. I'm no professional but I've casually watched science and nature programs my whole life. I'm particularly interested in human evolution. And the more I know the more I realize ideology shapes a lot of it. The human story especially. Out of Africa has become highly contested and appears to be a false narrative for progressive "anti-racist" reasons.

A racist realtor for Douglas Elliman accidentally texted "ugh they are black" to a Black couple looking for an apartment in NYC. The text was meant to be sent to the landlord, but it was sent directly to the prospective renters. After realizing the mistake, the agent attempted to apologize, but the couple is moving forward with legal action by filing a housing discrimination lawsuit alleging federal and New York state housing law violations and racial profiling. By sending a text like that, it implies that the realtor expected the property owner to be racist too and share that sentiment. Housing discrimination is notoriously difficult to prove in US courts. There's always subtle excuses like another applicant, credit score, income requirements, etc. This racist text is a smoking gun that bypasses plausible deniability. Douglas Elliman is one of the largest real estate brokers in the USA. They terminated the agent, but that doesn't make up for the racism and the indignity the couple faced.

As a supporter of Trump's policies, not necessarily his delivery, I am not concerned with the mid-terms. Trump seems like he is likely to take the Lame Duck moniker and make it a No Holds Barred moniker. The fraud that the administration is taking down is amazing, the border is closed, H1B visa loopholes are being shutdown, our energy policy is amazing, reshoring manufacturing is working, the r&d capitalization in the bill is genius, Trump Accounts amazing. In two years, so much has been accomplished. I don't undestand the nay-sayers at all. Gas was this price under Biden. I say ignore the results, but your foot on the gas and go.

God doesn't give us more than we can handle. And sadly, @IlhanMN has been repeatedly tested. But she has proven time & again to be one of God's strongest soldiers. Her moral clarity is sharp, her brilliance undeniable, her heart pure, & her strength unrivaled. She won't shrink in her service to MN & our country, & we won't shrink in our support of her, her family, & her staff.
