It's been a journey.
Nice to have such a candid and relaxed convo in a beautiful setting.

Thermodynamic Computing will be the dominant paradigm for physical intelligence

Something similar is happening with thermo software btw
A billion pbits coming your way sooner than you think
Anthropic says Claude Mythos could bring quantum computing “within reach sooner” after designing circuits that make a critical operation ~17x cheaper.
What makes this interesting is AI can now design, test and improve these circuits on its own so that opens the door to faster breakthroughs across quantum computing without waiting for better hardware.
The carefully constructed status game around mathematics was dismantled overnight
All that is left is purpose. Why do you want to solve a certain problem? What will you be able to do given a solution? Will the latter unlock be worth the compute costs?

has a group so esteemed ever crashed out this bad?
i always saw mathematicians as the high priests of truth and intellectual integrity, but ai comes along solves a few problems and the exposed themselves as just another group of status hungry individuals.
how they can’t see this as the beginning—not the end—is beyond me.

if you have a .edu, .gov or .mil email you can now get a full 8x B300 node for $4/GPU-hour. nebius charges $9.50 on demand and a lot of clouds are sold out
AMD MI355X nodes are $3 and the wait right now is under a minute
you just ask marshall, their AI agent, and it finds you a node
this is a major public good for researchers who've been priced out of frontier compute
thank you @AnjneyMidha
hundreds of MI355x and B300 nodes
now live on nationalcompute.com
subsidized for all .edu and .govs
it’s time to scale the frontier ecosystem
for the public benefit

If I were doing a PhD in Math right now, I would just type "gg wp" in ChatGPT, close my laptop, and leave the program for industry.
The future of compute is heterogenous.
Excited to thermodynamic computing to play an increasingly important part.
Disaggregated inference is the future.
Great panel with @general_compute discussing their heterogenous compute cloud, the speciation of compute for disaggregated inference, and how thermo compute will fit in the picture
More coming soon. Stay tuned 😉

Will be on a panel discussing the future of inference with friends @general_compute today for SF tech week.
You won't want to miss it!
