It still hasn't quite sunk in and I'm still in shock over this. Mack was genuinely one of the most talented and meticulous YouTubers I've ever known and also just such an amazing and funny dude in person. Rest in peace, brother.
Today, we share the heartbreaking news that Mackenzie Rowles, known to many of you as “Camelworks”, has passed away. Together with his family and friends, we recently held a celebration of his life and gave him a final send-off, with his ashes being scattered across the Australian countryside. I cannot describe the heartache I felt when I was told the news. Mack was my good friend, one of the first people I ever met in the games industry and Bethesda/YouTube community, over 10 years ago. He was the kindest, most welcoming person you could ever have the privilege of knowing. He cared very deeply about those around him - always happy to have a conversation and help you with any problem you were facing, without question. And man, he was just the funniest guy. No matter how you were feeling, he could make you laugh and brighten your day. Camel’s family has asked for all of you to share your fondest memories of him and remember him for the incredible life he lived. He built an amazing community of over 800 thousand people across his YouTube channels, and we would love to hear how he touched your lives. Please also respect their privacy at this difficult time. Finally, I would like to show you this video of Mackenzie, which was made for his family and played at his celebration of life service. Many tears were shed when editing this video, and I hope it does his memory justice. Camel, I cannot help but cry when writing this, but rest in peace my brother. I will spend my days looking for you in Sovngarde and we will share a drink once again. - Jonny “LoneVaultWanderer” Roses

Dear Lord, I never said this wasn't a discussion when it launched. I was pointing out the constant grand standing every time someone plays it for the first time.

Yeah I sure do hope Capcom don't replicate what's still the most gorgeous game artistically in the entire series, that'd be a real drag...
If Capcom is really going to remake the first Resident Evil in the RE Engine, I hope they return to the original 1996 game as a reference for how the Spencer Mansion will look instead of just imitating the shadowy gothic haunted house aesthetic from the 2002 remake. The original mansion felt more unique and reminds me of the Overlook Hotel from the Shining. Honestly, just a change in lighting that allows more of the color to come through might bridge the gap between the different art directions of the two previous versions.

Loaded up an old FF7 save and finally bred a Gold chocobo for the first time. No rich parents, no handouts, no favors, just straight hustle.

There's some pretty strict embargos and limits around RE9 reviews, which is ironic given how much of the game's leaked online. But either way, I've got a video I'll be dropping a day or so after launch, just so I can cover it in more depth.

What this tweet ultimately taught me is just how much the PAL version of Twin Snakes mogs NTSC.
Not my original pic, but this is what my copy of Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes looks like. Totally unplayable due to no fault other than time If not for ROM/ISO dumps these games will be lost to time Physical discs don't guarantee preservation. PC is the only solution

Crisol is one of the more unique horror FPS titles that's come along in recent memory and something not nearly enough people are talking about. youtube.com/watch?v=oYdexdQA…

Yes. Next question.
The original God of War games are infamous for their sex minigames, which demonstrated Kratos' descent into sadism and nihilism, but should they be included in the upcoming remake? bit.ly/4rWbrJv

More people need to know about Crisol. It's a horror FPS set on a fictional Spanish island inhabited by cultists, where you play as a religious fanatic, fighting murderous statues and using your blood as ammunition.

Good to see modern game devs are still managing to come up with every reason to justify their game failing outside of just admitting the game was never that good to begin with.
