Earlier this week I visited Wainwright Health Centre and Wainwright EHS to meet with hospital teams and the families of victims in Edmonton with ACA CEO Dr. Sayeh Zielke. In an incredibly difficult situation, extraordinary teams of EMS paramedics, firefighters, nurses, doctors, allied health and support staff, and health administrators from ACA, AHS, and Covenant Health stepped up, worked together and did everything they could to help those who needed them. I can’t say enough about the incredible people working in our hospitals and emergency services, and how grateful we are for everything they did and continue to do to support the care of victims in hospital. My prayers remain with the Canadian Armed Forces members, their families and everyone in the Wainwright community affected by this tragedy.
