When you decide to change your life, big things happen. Don’t let anyone tell you it’s impossible!
A year ago: • I didn’t speak English. • Had never done sales. • Never organized an event. • Never been to the US. • Didn’t know what a hackathon was. I was a cultural strategist in fashion and advertising in Paris. My world was trends, research and brand strategy. I left Paris for Malta to learn English and break into tech. In April, I arrived in SF knowing no one, looking for a job in tech. Today, I do events, sales, content and hiring for AI labs. I organize AI hackathons around the world. All in English. Now I’m back in SF, with friends, partners and projects to build together. And at the end of August, I wasn’t even on X. I had nothing to lose by trying. Everything to gain. Change your environment when you’re no longer happy. Step outside your comfort zone. Believe in yourself. Starting again isn’t failure.

So when someone says, interesting, don't automatically assume they mean, that's amazing. They might mean, I'm not sure, I disagree, that surprised me, or I need a second to respond politely. When someone says, we'll see, They might mean maybe, but they might also mean probably

Use softeners when talking about feelings. A softener is a word or a phrase that makes your emotions sound more natural, gentle, or balanced. For example, a little, kind of, a bit, honestly. To be honest, at first. Instead of I felt nervous, say I was a little nervous at first.
